Kristoff
Chieftain
I'm working on my own Sengoku scenario (in fact it will start well before Onin Wars). I'd like to add to the scenario an excellent kensai unit made by Kinboat. Because kensai were "the holy swordsmen" of exceptional martial skills it makes no sense to let clans just build it as other "ordinary" units. I thought of marking kensai with "created in battle" flag, but thus I would lose leader unit (only one can be flagged like that). So then I thought of creating a special building (small wonder) that would produce kensai - let's say - every 30-40 turns (must be really exceptional, because it will be powerful). But this won't prevent cities without this small wonder from ordinary production of kensai. So now I want to make a special resource needed to create this unit, that I won't place on map at all. So no city will be able to make kensai apart from this, which will build appropriate small wonder. Uff... The question is: does building with "produce unit X every Y turns" check before production if there are resources needed for "normal" production of kensai? If yes, the whole idea doesn't make sense
In other words, can you get units from such building even if you don't have resources needed to produce them in a normal way (shields)?
