I need to cool my ear (literally)

I need urgent help. One of my ears is burning up and I feel extremely annoyed by it. I currently have a cold, but I already removed some clothes and I'll be freezing if any more stripping occurs.

I have tried cooling it down with an ice cube but as soon as I stop pressing the ice against the ear, the EXTREMELY ANNOYING warmth returns.

I'm going insane, so I need urgent help, and I'm not kidding.

Dude, you put ice on it and it didn't cool off. This is generally considered to be a hint that you have a bigger problem.

For the last 20 minutes or so I haven't removed the cube, just did it now, if it goes back to overwarmth then I can have an infection.
