Lets see who plays civilization on the oldest, most pathetic, PC.

This is typed on a 600hmz AMD SLOT-A that eats 300W, bought in summer 2000.
It has slightly more than 600mb SDram, only half of it was added 2001.
It could still have its AGP2 GFX card from 2000, but it broke down and got replaced by a slightly worse more modern card with a little more ram in 2003.
Sound card and boxes from 2000 are both half broken, reducing a 4.1 system to a 1,9 system (one of 2 speakers having some noise).
40 GB of hard disk space accumulated many broken sectors during the years and I am just waiting for a complete failure and reformatting to happen, again.
This machine is not just old, its in use almost nonstop, tends to overheat and is not threated very nicely.

Turns on huge maps are very slow, it only makes sense to play on lowest detail settings, but it works.

I tried to put it on a '95.
Yeah, no. 75 MHz was too little.

Wouldn't have thought 600MHz was anywhere near enough to run Civ4.

Be careful you don't overwork your computer so bad that it blows up or sets on fire. Had that happen to me once - my monitor blew a gasket while playing Civ2 many years ago. :p

I play on a 958MHz, 512RAM, but have a reasonable graphics card. I am able to play small to standard size with max graphics or huge with medium (which is what I currently prefer).
