Cheque is the british (old french) spelling and that is what I grew up with. Canada still uses SOME british spellings. And yes they still do send out cheques - especially when its from the government.
And I would prefer to be referred to as Her and She, Thank you. Dont worry. I am not offended. I am Amused.
