I won a Historical Victory as Egypt, and decided to keep playing. Eventually, during the late 1500s/early 1600s, instability tore my little country apart, leaving only the capital. Then a plague came through and killed ALL of my units, and then those damned Impis showed up while the plague was still going on. So I died. After that, guess what? The game just kept on auto-playing without me! Esc doesn't interrupt the game to bring up the menu. It's still auto-playing now (thank the gods for alt-tab), and will probably do so until it reaches 2050 or I do a ctrl-alt-delete.

Is this an oversight in the game itself, the mod, or what?

LOL, my computer is "playing with itself"

EDIT: upon alt-tabbing back to the game, it had apparently stopped at 1775 to ask me whether I wanted to play as you-know-who. If I hadn't left the game, I probably would have clicked "yes" and been reborn as that civ. But it looks like the alt-tab messed it up somehow, and it just went right back to autoplaying before I clicked yes.

Actually, this is in BtS (got it a few hours ago)

EDIT: It's not a bug, it's a feature! Remember that bit about dead civs coming back after the discovery of Nationalism? Well, it's not just for AI players!

Year 1947. The city that went Independent - taking half of my Wonders with it - has been razed, but I have my capital city back. It's time to open a can of whoopass on someone.

If that is WAI, Rhye is even more awesome than I thought.

Oh my god you found out how to play respawning civs.
