I think I need a new webhost. Any suggestions?

Problem: It appears the webhost my site's on has been abandoned. I'm considering moving my site but I'd like opinions on a webhost.

Issues:
1. Even though I have a credit card, I'm on a strict budget. A monthly fee might be too difficult for me to swing. Though I might be able to pull it off if I don't need to pay it every month (e.g. annually).
2. The webhost must support WordPress.

Question: What would you people suggest?

I've been thinking about Dreamhost. I set up a website for a friend on there and I was impressed. But I'm worried that the pricing might be too much -- around $10 a month seems a bit.

I use fusednetwork, they're a good Canadian host.

And I'd never go with any provider that advertises "unlimited" anything.

5 gigs is sort of small though. Before you ask, I use a lot of images and files.

By the way, I just did some calculations, and I can swing $10 a month. So nothing over that please.

Fused is competitively priced for its quality.

If you're looking at much more than 5gb capacity for the same price, the host is likely lower quality, or overselling, which has its own pile of problems.

I also use/recommend NearlyFreeSpeech.net for lower use sites, for 5GB there you'd be looking at around $50/m for storage alone.

Proper storage and backup of data is expensive, if you look at quality ftp hosts you're going to be paying at least $10/m for 5gb of ftp storage alone.

Well, personally, compared to what I went through the first few months of my site, anything would seem good to me.
