I want to drone strike city states!

I just had an idea...

Whenever a city state wants you to bully another one, you should be able to use a drone strike to take out a unit in the targeted CS. This would cost money and be dependent on line of sight and having the proper tech.

What do you think?

It's just frustrating when you get asked to bully city states that are half way around the world. In the atomic/information age, this shouldn't be a problem.

PS It would make a great UA for Washington.

Why is this a problem? You can bully them from anywhere. And you don't have to accept those...

You can try to bully them from anywhere, but for them to give in they need to be afraid, which usually needs you to have a military presence nearby.

The idea should be extended to aircraft, rather than drones, which would also give them a longer technological window. If you have a load of bombers within range of a CS, you should be able to extort from them. Then again with nukes.

Literally doing so from anywhere doesn't make sense in the context of Civ V, since nothing has unlimited range. The CS should have to be in striking distance, or else it doesn't make sense for you to bully them.

That said, I don't often bully city states, especially in the late game, as they're always either already allied through other means, or in the influence of someone else I'd rather not mess with.
