Idea-Complacency

IIRC dark ages were golden ages in reverse. The problem was that they could never get them balanced. Either they had no effect, or the entire world was pulled into an eternal dark age, so Afforess shelved the concept.
 
I personally think, from what I've seen in the coding on the dark ages in the dll, that the complacency system should be designed independantly of dark ages entirely. Dark Ages doesn't scale like what we're discussing on complacency, which would be a gradually increasing penalty to research, production, food, gold, etc... whereas Dark Ages is a yes/no environment like Golden Ages are (pretty much just the inverse of a Golden Age). When we can get Dark Ages functioning properly, I'd like to tie it into a separate future project. (Long ways off from any work on that one though...)
