Another thread showing the overwhelming positive response to ciV. I wish the detractors of the game would see this and stop saying that they represent the majority.

rofl? "overwhelming"? It's not even 60-40, and it's on the Civ 5 forums for christ sake. If you made the same thread on the Civ 4 forums I'm sure Civ 4 would win by more than 60-40. Why? Because it's who you're asking.

Not even reaching 60-40 on the Civ 5 forums themselves is absolutely pathetic.

56 to 44 % falls under standard deviation, I guess. So, of course it's not "overwhelming". Maybe neither the majority.

56-44 in favor of Civ5 on the Civ5 forum is clearly overwhelming. I'd even call it a landslide.

When Civ IV came out it was incredibly buggy but you could tell that there was an amazing game buried under all the bugs. I don't get that feeling with Civ V. It is a nice game and I enjoy playing it but it isn't the quantum leap that II, III and IV were. It kind of reminds me of Call to Power in that regard.

I have been playing Civ V since I got it a week ago but I am thinking about playing Civ IV again soon.

If both are vanilla, civ 5. there is just so much more to it. If BTS came with civ 4, not sure

You have got to be kidding me...Call To Power was an amazing Civ game...beautiful 2D grafix, movies and music that all fit together like tetris blocks and gave it an atmosphere that no other civ game had. Strategically it is also dynamic. But due to it's complexity and many micro management opportunities it drove away all the console heads that just couldn't handle building a REAL empire and staying glued to the monitor for more than 30 minutes. And the AI didn't cheat either.
