If civ7 really runs on the Switch, then I have lowered my expectations. And that probably means even worse AI than civ6 :-(

Title...
Can a game with AI heavy code and processing really run at all on the switch? Either the AI is terrible, or the Switch would have 40 minute turn load times.

What is a switch?
One of these:

I think they both can run Civ.

Probably with static leader animations as well, like we saw with Civ 6
Actually, the Switch version has leader animations, it's just the model quality is not great.

Also, launch Switches are 2013 tablets and V2/red box/Mariko and OLED Switches are 2016 tablets with a focus on battery life.

Now confirmed only 4 friend multiplayer :-( This sucks. They should allow bigger worlds and more players on PC. So dumb.

Ah, games are like girls. If you can't get the one you love, love the one you can get.

I remember years ago that the game Romance of the Three Kingdoms IV had much better AI on the Sega Saturn and PlayStation than it did on the SNES. With this in mind, I wouldn’t assume that the PC version has to have lousy AI just because there’s a version on the Switch. But I’m not an expert, so who knows.

Likely will have tin pot 2-3 city empires ala 5 in order to accommodate this.

Game AI doesn't require significant computational power (you don't need any neural networks there). Graphics is much heavier and not only for video card.

There also could be just plain inefficiency, for example Civ 5 spent a lot of resources just to parse config files. Sometimes it happens, but I hope Civ 7 has more development resources and could avoid this.

The real issue is probably that the game will be launching on PS4/Xbox One-- consoles that came out over a decade ago.

Console meant for casual gaming (so not very powerful).
I must be one heck of a casual gamer then...going through with my second run of The Witcher 3 on my Nintendo...no kiddies games like fifa, or whatever online multiplayer mess kids are on these days!
