You are an ordinary person. Really, nothing special about you. Youre exactly the kind of person anyone might find in a bar, or chilling on a golf course. Youre in your mid twenties to early thirties and you have a decent life. A good job, but one you dont like that much. A good car, but not a great one. A nice house, a decent family, the list goes on. And yet theres something restive in you, like you want more but dont know how to get it.
Then the letter comes. A man named Richard Richards has died and wants you at his funereal for the reading of his will.
And you have no clue who this person is, or who most of the other listed recipients of the will are.
What is going on here? Who was this person? What is it they want you to have? How will you find any of this out?
And who are YOU, deep down inside?

Hello, everyone. Welcome to If You Had One Chance, an RP-focused Action Chatroom. If youre not familiar with the AC concept, basically, think of it as a chatroom-based roleplaying game, in the vein of Dungeons and Dragons. We make up our setting and play in chatrooms like the one this sentence is linking to.
Unlike most ACs, IYHOC is very simplistic. Just write up a biography and life story for your character. Any items or skills you want and can justify as defined by the GM(myself) are allowed. If I have a problem, Ill talk to you about what Id like changed. The guidelines to remember are youre supposed to be a relatively normal person no epic stories about a former clown who joined the special forces, took down a terrorist leader in Paris, became a business mogul and one of the worlds richest men within a year, and then launched a Presidential campaign that failed because of an incident with a banana. No crazy superpowers, no magical abilities, no family legacy with ghosts none of that. Just a regular everyman.
To that end, I will not be allowing your characters to be active duty in any military or law enforcement organizations. Former is fine, with the exception of special forces. Keep it relatively low key youll understand why later.

): Thomas Andre was born in Houston, Texas, and grew up in the ghetto. He spent a lot of time playing basketball and baseball, hoping that would get him out of his hometown, but he never became any good at either. He got involved in gang activity for a while, but when his best friend, Adrian, got murdered in front of him, he decided to quit that life. When he saw that the Army was recruiting, he realized that was his only chance to escape the ghetto. He served in the Army for 7 years, and managed to get enough money to buy himself a gun, and settle down in a better part of Houston. When he got the letter from the mysterious Richard Richards, he got on a flight and went to the Balkans for the funeral, just to learn what was going on.
