If you were drafted...

Somehow, I doubt the NK would be ecstatic at the prospect.

i think they would be happy to be a republic again

For all you people saying you would run away to Canada, you should remember that my country has signed an extradition treaty with yours now, so it might not be so easy as before, unfortunately.

It might be different for draftees as opposed to regulars, but I am not sure.

You can simply ask and fill the Conscientious objector status procedure, if the search fonction was available i could have link to a previous thread initiated by me.

Duke Of Malbrough have post good links about this legal procedure. ( Can he post them again, please)

In brief, if for a religious, moral or ethic reason, you dont want to kill a human beeing, then you will have a honorable discharge, but i tell you, be sure to follow every step of the procedure, so get information before you are draft.

it isnt so much that I oppose war itself fo relgious reasons. Many Mormons have fought very well in previous US wars. I simply intend on being out of the coutry from 19-21 preaching and doing service, and I cant let military service get in the way of that. If there was a war still going on when I get back, and the cause is just, then I might go.

This is the official version, let say to please Bush, but there is an underground chanel ( like in the vietnam war) to provide them help and refuge.

but the people in your family are the country, you mean you wouldn't go for the government?
