I'm going to war without actually doing so!

How does this happen? I never clicked any buttons, yet, for some reason, I keep getting the message that I have declared war on the Japanese? What's going on?! I'm losing my Defensive Pacts because of this...

It seems that your partner in defensive pact was attacked by Japanese. Since you had a defensive pact, you automatically declare war on Japanese. Also, the defensive pact is automatically cancelled because you're at war. Morale of the story: don't sign defensive pacts unless you know what you're doing.

Bollocks! I shouldn't have my other defensive pacts cancelled simply because I'm honouring another commitment to another nation. Geez, imagine that in the real world. Canada gets attacked, and the US helps out Canada, yet all of a sudden, Germany and Britian all drop any sort of commitment to help the US... and in fact are now in position to attack the US without any repercussions? I don't really think this was entirely thought out properly. As well, it would probably helped if the declarations of war where announced in a semblance of chronological order... Maybe they are...

Still thanks for the help.
