The Peace Summit of Heilongjiang

Present at the Summit:- President Je Sung, of the Gangnam Republic.
- President Yao Cheng, of the Han
- Domenico Salomon , of the Governing Caste of the Platonic Republic
- Officials from other nations and minorities.

===============

The discussion was rather short. But the waiting....
The two parts, China and gangnam, reached a common point. The Chinese realized that the Gangnam Republic actively takes care of it's citizens, regardless of their ethnicity, and allowed the Gangnam Republic to maintain it's current borders. Presiden Yan Cheng of the Han stated that his nation will remain as a buffer state betwen the two , just in case.

In the end, China, Han and Gangnam reached a common point: Japan is the main antagonist, and it must fall.
Peace is to be made betwen the Chinese and Gangnam nations. The common enemy is the priority.

With that, the Summit of Heilongjiang ended.

very good. at least you two realized it in time. the relations have been restored to normal. now we can focus on Japan as we wanted to do all along.

OOC:sorry for doublepost. But this msut be done
IC:

Emergency Speech of Presidents Yao Cheng and Je Sung

Peace with China has been made!
A terrible conflict was avoided! A great crysis and an overwhelming war are now only bedtime stories and "what if" scenarios. The Gangnam Republic is to keep it's current borders. All war efforts against China have been cancelled and accent is again on the war effort against Japan. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

All soldiers who had to march all to way tot he Chinese front and now have to return to fight Japan will be given a monetary compensation and further consideration for promotion. All population that was placed in secure perimeters at the Chinese borders will receive official appologies from me and the Ministers.

Let's finish Japan for once.

Why do people think that it's random and pointless? It's quite clearly not.

Because you and Gangam are fighting together in a war against Japan, and then pretty much out of the blue you decide you want to backstab him.

It would basically be the equivalent of the United States invading Canada in 1942. Sure, there were some precedent for it in the past, but it would be more than pointless do it when the UK, Canada, and the USA were fighting together against fascism.

At the very least, backstab Gangam after the war ends. But not when the fighting is still going on.

RHODESIA ANNOUNCES WEAPONS PROJECT, CODENAMED "SPRINGHEEL JACK"
Spoiler honestly don't read this. Or do, but for IC posts pretend you never did :
In recent times, we have noticed that our military is lagging behind. We still wish to conserve resources, but our soldiers will seriously lag behind. After a bit of good old-fashioned thinking and designing we came up with the following specifications for "springheel jack"
  • An implant to increase testosterone and adrenaline levels and decrease combat inhibitions
  • surgery of the feet to add "spring" to the sole - will allow soldier to jump great heights
  • training in both swordsmanship and marksmanship
given a bit of time we may be able to use this in wars soon.

OOC: that was because I did not bother planning back then but since the GM has given the liberty...

IC: The Platonic Republic cannot honor its peace pact with Japan any longer; with the injustices committed against the Vietnamese it is clear that Japan must be taken over for its own good.

We declare we will join Arabia's, Korea's, China's and Rome's crusade against the unjust warmongers. You will eventually drown Japan; the sea is rough and the ship that is your state cannot handle the Platonic wave.

Thankfully we are in a concealed position Japan; to reach us you have to go through either the Suez and Gilberta, both locations would be hostile to your warmongering efforts.

We ask the Emirates to stop Japanese shipping.

OOC: I presume war affects occure next season, yes? With Operation Deveil-Fish's cancellation and that...

Making a mistake? It is human.

Making the same mistake again? That is foolish.

Japan has shown much mercy to Greece. Japan not only did not ask for money, when the majority of the Greek Army had been captured and Thessaloniki had revolted, but instead invested into Greece, offered to sell weapons and also offered an alliance. Greece has shown that it does not keep it's deals and that it is unworthy of mercy. We shall show no mercy at all.

even if they did fail, again, the Roman Empire will see to it that they recover from that failure.

So you're entitled to overrun the entirety of Europe because you won a naval battle?

No. But I shall overrun it because of an other reason that will be revealed as the war goes on.

Heed well Japan; what happens is due to your failure to act as a servant of justice. What occurs in Vietnam is prove that the Japanese are unfit to govern themselves, hence only method of restoring order is by annexation, via assimilation or scorched earth, for justice is a harsh mistress indeed. Our breaking of the peace treaty is but a tickle compared to your peoples actions in Vietnam. Disorder, evident in the democratic nations, as affected you greater still but even more worrisome you break the virtues that Plato preached. You lack moderation, you drown yourself in cowardice and your ignorance to the full of might and wisdom of the Platonic Republic when it fully commits to a action (the occurrence we had with you before a merely a setback) will set to the annihilation of your sovereignty. Know that we will not rest for till you pay your due... in blood and chains.

Prey that we show mercy in our great civilization mission, although we must warn that Thucydides is our teacher in mercy.

Does this have anything to do with that weapons cache the UN found?

Jerusalem announces naval expansion

UAR_navy_resd.png

In response to Japanese hostility in the South China Sea and the decimation of UN naval assets, the United Arab Republic has dispatched its own fleet to assist the beleaguered UNVIFOR flotilla. In preparation for what it expects will be a wide-scale and long-term confrontation, Jerusalem has initiated a rapid expansion of its national navy, ordering a number of mothballed vessels returned to service and a drastic increase in funding local shipyards in concurrence with a general upscale in military industrial production, with the aim of doubling the strength of the current fleet by the end of next year.

Spoiler Classified ship profiles :

Mubārak-class Destroyer

UAR_destold.png

An older design outdated prior to the Cataclysm, the Mubārak has been gradually phased out of the navy in favour of the Sīna-class, and is primarily used by the coast guard for domestic policing. Lightly-armed and armoured, it nonetheless remains a capable ship, and a number had been sold to cash-strapped African and South American nations.

Sīna-class Destroyer

UAR_destadv.png

Workhorse of the United Arab Navy, the Sīna is a well-armed and versatile destroyer and the mainstay of the fleet. Based on an older French design, the Republic redesigned the blueprint with updated weapons and modernized sensors and communications systems to bring it up to par with contemporary classes.

Falasṭīn-class Frigate

UAR_frigate.png

The first "all-native" design, the Falasṭīn is the backbone of the navy, armed with a surface-to-surface missile battery and advanced radar air defence weaponry that make it suited to all roles in combat and escort, able to step in to handle whatever the destroyers cannot. Comparatively speaking, few are in active service, and the expansion plans specifically target this class.

Ḥāfiẓ al-ʾAsad-class Battleship

UAR_btlship.png

An obsolete relic of a bygone era, the Ḥāfiẓ al-ʾAsad battleship is used primarily for offshore fire support missions rather than naval battles, where it is outranged and outmanoeuvred by more modern vessels. Given Japan's unique choice of tactics, however, the admiralty has seen fit to commit the remaining fleet to escort, hoping to get some final use out of the tubs before they are retired for good.

Ṣalāḥ ad-Dīn-class Carrier

UAR_carrier.png

Plans for an aircraft carrier were first devised in 2104, and while the class has yet to be realized, Jerusalem believes national industry will be in a fit state to lay down the blueprint in the coming years. Technical specifications have not been forthcoming, but the design is expected to accommodate between 30-50 fixed-wing and helicopter aircraft.

Jinn-class Submarine

UAR_lsub.png

A pre-Cataclysm light submarine, the Jinn has served primarily in coastal patrols and reconnaissance in the Mediterranean and Arabian seas. While small and lightly-armed, it is also surprisingly fast, and is rumoured to be capable of outrunning some destroyers.

Mahdī-class Submarine

UAR_msub.png

The Mahdī's heavier construction means it can house a larger payload than the Jinn, and while less manoeuvrable, can submerge to much greater depths. Having only recently seriously entered the submarine game, the number of these subs currently in service with the Republic is few, but the force multiplier they constitute is not to be discounted.

Dabbat al-Arḍ-class Missile Submarine

UAR_missub.png

This advanced design remains the subject of speculation. Rumour has it the Republic possesses a sole prototype, purchased by Syria from the Baltic Federation prior to its collapse. The Dabbat al-Arḍ appears to be modelled as a ballistic missile platform, and while the Republic is not known to be pursuing nuclear-based weaponry, it might still serve as a stealthy means of offshore fire support.

UAR ups commitment to Vietnam

Jerusalem announced yesterday that it was increasing the size of its expedition to Vietnam, deploying Sixth Army 2nd and 3rd Corps to relieve its embattled UNVIFOR contingent. While the unit is not officially part of the UN mission, it will subordinate to LGen al-Karimi and abide by the mission's rules of engagement.

National Railway Project expected to surpass A£600 million

The projected cost of the National Railway Project linking Matruh to Aleppo has exceeded A£600 million, according to the Ministry of Transportation's latest statistics. The initial survey estimated the proposed route through the Beqaa Valley would cost at least A£280 million, but supply reallocation as a result of wartime mobilization and the addition of a controversial parallel line along the coast have pushed the budget much higher.

UAR to invest in Rhodesia

In a move that Jerusalem insists is a show of faith to its nominal status within the African League and should in no way be read as a reaction to recent Indonesian overtures, the United Arab Republic has announced its intention to provide economic investment into the revitalization of Rhodesia and Mozambique following the countries' brief civil war earlier this year. In addition to domestic investment, Jerusalem has expressed interest in assisting with the modernization of the Rhodesian military. It is currently awaiting the Rhodesian government's response on the matter.

No. But I shall overrun it because of an other reason that will be revealed as the war goes on.

Let me guess.
Japan is too small for the number of graves that need to be dug for your soldiers so you'll end up begging for more land so you can bury your dead.

Malacca would like to know if it would be possible to build under license half a dozen Falastin-class frigates.

Five new submarines have been commissioned by the IRN to terrorize Japan's navy from below the waves. The Sligo, Galway, Roscommon, Mayo, and Leitrim have been launched from Cork Naval Base and are destined for Singapore before reporting to the front.

Due to this revelation from Japan. The Kalmar Kingdom has decided to ramp up it's production of destroyers and cruisers.
