Korea
Having observed the effectiveness of the Korean Air Force first-hand, the United Arab Republic is interested in importing Korean military technology. What can we offer you in exchange?

Money.
We need funds . We have a special 'system" of rewarding our citizens for what they do. Those rewards have to come from somewhere. So we need funds.

Indonesia
Indonesia's high-tech industry is well-reputed the world over. The United Arab Republic is interested in any technology that will help in the development of modern anti-ballistic missile systems and aid in environmental restoration.

Dear UAR,

We will gladly help UAR's intention to restore the environment with anything we can do. But we must reject your offer to cooperate on the development of an Anti-Missile System, considering that UAR has violated Indonesia's intention of neutrality throughout the Pacific War by issuing an Embargo.

Have a Nice Day,
Sylvia Svetta

Thailand would be interested in cooperating with Indonesia on the development of an Anti-Missile System. Thailand and Indonesia are nations that both want peace in the regions and are neutral in major conflicts.

We accept your proposal for economic partnerships and joint-cooperation in the Civil Sector. In fact, if the Indonesian Government agrees, Chancellor Yingjang Shinawatra would like to come to Indonesia and talk in person with the Indonesian Government about a Thai-Indonesia economic cooperation. The Chancellor would also be interested in meeting with Indonesian companies that want to invest in Thailand.

Why not ? We would gladly receive our fellow neighbors and a great potential partner to discuss an upcoming prosperous cooperation here in Indonesia. Many companies would surely be interested in investing in Thailand if a cooperation treaty allows more freedom for our companies to develop. That also goes for Thai companies in Indonesia.

Good evening!

The elections have passed! The results are in! The future of the West African Confederation can now be set to the peoples’ plan! Power to the people today as their voice is cast!

The election is set between two electoral bodies that will interact with each other: the Confederal Council made of the councillors or representatives from each of the provinces and the Grand Senate which is made up of the proportional casting of the peoples’ ideologies. Note that each province provides 5 representatives, with our current module of 9 provinces (the most major populated cities provinces are classed as their own provinces; larger provinces equally will be measured as areas with scare population that will require mass resources to ensure are incorporated) equals 45 councillors. There are 60 seats in the Grand Senate. While it may look unusual to have the proportional body out represent the representative body we must remind that this is the cradle stage of the Confederation: as we grow so will the Grand Senate dwarfed by the representatives. The Senate is there to ensure that the people’s ideological voice can be deployed.

So: how did the people speak on Tuesday, 15th February 2107?

Spoiler talbe of results :
Party Ideology Leader Represenatives Senators Total

Party of True Justice Platonic Republicanism Yaw Mansah 0 0 0
Total Seats … … 45 60 105

As can be demonstrated the populist centralists, the Peoples Coalition for the Confederation, won the highest number of seats combined with 15 politicians but this should be compared of course in notion of not being first-past-the-post: the Congress for Liberal Unionists came a close second with 13, with “third place” shared by both the League of the Peoples Justice and the Confederal Preservation Party with 12 each. The Alliance of Confederal African Nationalists came with 11. The next comes to the Abrahamic Democrat Alliance with a grand total of 7: all other parties seem to have 3, 2 and 1 in totals, while the Party for True Justice is notable for not getting a single seat, while the famed joke party the Pan-African Party of Hyenas managed to get a single seat.

Naturally such system brings about the prospect of coalition building and indeed, in credit to his party’s achievement of 15 seats in combination of both chambers, Idowu Saro-Wiwa of the Peoples Coalition has issued that a meeting will take place on the 18th of February (a Friday) to talk with other leaders about coalition, although rumours have emerged that both the CLU and the LPJ may be likely to be partners. Yet it is still too soon to tell. Nevertheless the Transitional Overseer Committee will begin the process of dissolving as the coalition is formed. Ali Nzeogwu has already dissolved his post as its chairman, with reports that he is planning to apply to become the Confederation’s UN representative.

Likelihood is that Mr Saro-Wiwa will be made the President of the Confederation, as by popular dictate, although there is a referendum to occur to whether or not the President should be directly elected coming the 1st of March, on a Tuesday. Still it must be reminded that the local national governments process the main law powers, with the Confederal government serving primal in foreign policy and in common areas. Whatever the case the Confederation has had a glorious day.

UN Environment Agency Report

The UN environment agency has conducted its final survey of the border territories of the Indian Wasteland. With this it has been able to finally map most of the inhabitable world. The only areas to remain unmapped are the interior of India and Bosnia. With these mappings complete it is hoped that future expansion is going to be able to happen. Through the use of artificial life support inheritance of these two areas could feasibly be achieved. However the Agency reports that it has still be unable to find solution to South America’s poisoned ground.
The aftermath of the Caen meteorite is now being felt across the world as changing weather patterns cause storms everywhere. Significant flooding has happened throughout Europe and along the African coast and a typhoon hit the shores of Vietnam and Malacca.

Rising Tensions in Georgia

Given offers of protection by Russia, the UAR and Rome the people of Georgia are highly divided. While public opinion is still heavily against the Romans religious and ethnic tensions are flaring up in response to the offers from Russia and the UAR. As of yet the government has been reluctant to issue and opinion for fear of inciting the wrath of the people.

Africa

Forces of the Africa Federation made landing in the UAC and made large good progress into the territory. They have been faced with many difficulties such as long supply lines and the vicious nature of the inhabitants of the UAC but the ingenuity and determination of the AF’s generals meant that they were able to capture many significant centres.

Death spreads to America

The ailment that caused the deaths of now over 40 million Japanese people has been reported to have spread to the coastal areas of Texarkana. Like in Japan many of these areas rely on BulkProd for their food and it is suspected that there may be a link between food imports and the illness. As of yet only 40 deaths have been reported.
In the north the war continues. Harried by the guerrillas of the NWAU the PAU troops have not made as much progress as predicted however they still manage to push deeper into enemy held territory. As of yet it is believed that the NWAU has not shown its full military might and is holding back in the north.

Maltese efforts in Japan

Maltese efforts to change the face of Japan from horrific nightmare to something less deadly have been met with welcome arms by the Japanese people. The intervention has been noted to have possibly caused a rise in Roman Catholicism in Japan and many Japanese people are being recruited into volunteer sections of the Order.

Beijing Decides

In the Autumn of this year the Referendum in Beijing as to whether it integrate into China, Gangnam or remind independent is going to be held. Factions on every side a vying to shift public opinion in their direction. This could constitute a major change in power in the far east.

Notes from the GM:

The nasty colour appearing in Bosnia, Brazil, America and India indicates that those territories are bad places due to the wars. Whether that be the aftermath of nuclear war (Bosnia and America) or chemical/biological warfare (India and Brazil) these territories now cost double the usual amount to claim.

On claiming Malacca claimed overseas territories like they weren’t overseas: bad Malacca.
Nedim is now on his second Warning.
Perfection on third Warning.

Libya[/B]
For the strength of both our nations, and to encourage the growth and development of the independent Libyan state, the United Arab Republic proposes bilateral trade and a special travel agreement to ease transit between our countries. Furthermore, we offer a joint defensive agreement to protect Libyan sovereignty against any external threat.

Georgia, Kurdistan, Bulgaria
Your erstwhile benefactor Rome has suffered political fragmentation and near-total economic collapse, the aftershocks of which you are certainly still feeling. But while the Roman strangles itself with its own incompetent policy, the United Arab Republic is willing to step in to restore normalcy to your trade relations.

We also offer you a bilateral defensive pact to protect against Roman aggression. It is not surprising that Rome would attempt to covertly obtain weapons of mass destruction; after all, the government has consistently demonstrated its impotence and has always sought a fast track to thrusting itself into mature global intercourse. Besides grossly destabilizing Mediterranean security, such a pursuit is of particular concern to those states on the front line of Imperial revanchism.

Poland, Barcelona, Monaco, Holland, Italy, Ireland, United Emirates, Holy Roman Empire
Wanna trade?

The Provisional Government of Libya accepts this proposal.

Kurdistan and Bulgaria accept the offer and welcome the UAR completely.

The other NPCs maintian that trade is automatic unless stated.

Maybe next turn. I was silly and didn't check the UN recently.

The West African Confederation, by directive of all its members and its president, Idowu Saro-Wiwa, will lay out plans for the new members of the Confederation, so that we may grow stronger and benefit the great democratic project.

We will also declare our interests in forging diplomatic relations, especilly in trade for our in need of boosting ourselves. We have still procession of gold mines, like the old Empire of Mali. We also have uranium in case you desire energy trade. These are but however kickstarters: our hope is that we set out our ecomony, so that we may be able to become a land of prosperity.

We are keen to play as good international citizens and will be glade to reach out.

Power to the people!

Roman Economic report

the Emperor of the Roman Empire has completed his report on the state of the Roman Economy.

in short, our totals is slightly weaker than Ireland, and stronger than Libya, despite them having 10 and 18 provinces to our 7. since it is assumed that we have very little political strength, thanks to an intense misinformation campaign by Romes Enemies, and a medium military, our greatest strength is our economy.

it is thanks to the Enemies of Rome that would make our recovery impossible on the political front. even if we did restore are previous borders, we would still be treated as North Korea. worse, even.

the Roman Civilians almost universally hate the UAR, Russia and Rhodesia for their misinformation campaign. therefore, the Emperor has ended relations between Rome and these nations. currently, our relationships depends on not having a relationship.

a similar poll was conducted on how they view the Roman Government. there is a 70% approval rating for the Emperor, with the biggest issues being: allowing others, particularity Russia, to dictate Roman policy, Failure to reassert power, continuing failures to restore the proper borders of the Empire.

Maybe next turn. I was silly and didn't check the UN recently.
Guarantee the mission at least one province next turn and I can still draft my RP. :deal:

Also, we can haz stats 4 Vietnam?

Also, you realize it'll take half a year to terminate the Preferential Access Treaty?

Considering Son has dropped this game, what should happen about the PAU, Robert? Should USA switch to head?

why would it take half a year?
Article IV
1. This Agreement shall remain in force for a minimum of one year from the date of ratification.
2. After one year has passed, either party may terminate the Agreement by providing a minimum of six months' notice to the other signatory.
Given I never CC'd anything to Robert, I sure as hell didn't write up a formal text to garnish RPoints.
