Important Announcement About submissions:

Excellent. Thanks for clearing that up so quickly... I'm off to see if I can upload my files now. :D

{a bit later}
Woohoo, all done!
I see one of you has changed that to "Time" already... thanks, everything is much clearer now. :D

Then add to the mix that I, as a Mac user, can't even see it or play it yet, and you'll see that we are somewhat challenged
So in another words, we got a blind "staff superman" flying into walls.:crazyeye:

Yup! [secret] I'm not really superman, and Renata isn't really Lois [/secret]

Keep telling them that, Clark.

I messed up and submitted a save from the victory turn, right after clicking "just one more turn..." Should I load it, click a turn, and resubmit?

Or will I be ok this month?

If you responded to "just one more turn" then you've probably got the save we need. Upload it and I'll let you know.

[EDIT] I see you did. It's fine. :)

Thanks for your quick response. :)

I'm not sure I understand what a 'replay' file is? Does this mean we play a second time and resubmit it, with a different file extention?

My first game didn't go very well :-(, so I wouldn't mind ....

No - you must only submit the file from your first time through.

The "replay" file is created as you play the game - look for it in your "replays" folder. :)

some questions....

do I enter the higher score, the one called "score" not "game score" (in the hall of fame). And do I submit the saved game the turn AFTER i say "wait just one more turn..."? hall of fame says the game was finished in 2006 so do i enter the save from 2007?

and i dont know were to find the final replay file, not sure what that is. and in my game my score appears unchanged and without a victory bonus, is that whats supposed to happen?

any help would be great... yeah i know im a noob

Enter the final score. If you won then this will be the bigger of the two scores as it includes a victory bonus.

Yes, the save after you say "Just another turn" or whatever the response says.

The victory bonus only exists at the point of victory, and only gets added in your victory screen and/or HOF as far as I know. Your game score is your basic score from pop, territory, culture and techs, and is the only one that appears ... in the game.

Oh well, I think I got a Herbert Hoover score or something. :-(

BTW, a great job here -- lots of fun.

Quick question....My files uploaded correctly, but I entered the lower of the 2 scores in the manual entry field when I submitted. Should I resubmit the same files and type in the higher score?

Thanks

Don't worry. You are not alone! Though I do wonder why so many players submit the lower score ... in a competition that is judged on high scores

I am at this moment leaping tall buildings in my efforts to extract accurate score information from everyone's submissions. I'm contacting anyone whose submission is too confusing for me to unravel, but so far that's not very many.

Roll on next month by which time I hope our automation will kick in to read the files, you won't need to tell me anything, and I can put my feet up :coffee:  :coffee:

What, so you're the 12 billion dollar man now? The 6 billion dollar man can only leap small buildings :).

I didn't say I can leap over them. See post #22 above :D

:bounce: We now have over 270 submissions for this game, which substantially exceeds any previous GOTM :goodjob:
