Hiya 
I'm a newcomer to Civilization so in order to get an idea what the game is about I decided to load up the tutorial. Unfortunately every time I load up the game I get this message:
However when I press "OK" the game simply exits out to desktop and makes no attempt at restarting. I have the latest patch (1.61) and running DX 9.0c. I'm not sure what else to tell you in order to better help you help me diagnose the problem. It's frustrating simply because I have no idea where to begin looking.
system specs:
AMD Athlon 3000+ Barton @ 2.167Ghz Watercooled.
Asus A7N8X-E Deluxe
2GB(2X1GB) Corsair XMS PC 3200
XFX 6600GT 500/1000
On-board n-force audio.
250GB Maxtor HD
By the way, I searched the forums here for a possible other thread regarding a similar problem, but found nothing particularly helpful.
Any suggestions are more than welcome.
