On Earth Map in Civilization game there are 3 spots where you can build cities up to size 42 with 9.000000 Population.

Bad news: you need to burn a lot of rainforest to cultivate the Land. One spot is in the heart of Africa among the congo basin
The second is in the Amazonas area where it is actual possible to build a second 40 city
The third spot is in the Mississippi delta
Just check the 20 squares cross and make sure all you See is either River/grassland or swamp/rainforest.

hahaha, imagine hesitating to wipe out the rainforests when there's so many more walmarts to be built

Citizens beyond the 28th are phantom taxmen contributing nothing to the economy. Instead of building giant inland cities, hug the coastline. Coastal cities work the ocean squares for more trade. Ocean squares in the city with the colossus get 5 arrows each when they have rails.

Thanks!

Spent about 4 hours writing and running some ham-fisted autohotkey scripts to archive savegames every turn and utilize JCIVED's world map screenshot feature. I am a really slow civ player, this game probably took about 200 hours going to 1170 AD so I thought it might be super-worth-it to immortalize with a gif. GIMP is amenable to making a compact gif of this kind where you have 256 colors and very moderate changes per frame.
