On-topic, my sig is just shameful advertising to the places where my art is. The 'squeaks when poked' is a blurb from a toy packaging - the squeaky 'Spooky'
The 'Still' (squeaks when poked) was added when someone (I can't remember who it was) commented that I probably should change the phrase when I changed my avatar. Same applies to my user title.

As for my sig, well, the first line is a quote I happen to like, and that I use in my sigs on almost all fora I post in, as well as on most of my email. The CivIII stuff should require no explanation, and the last line is some quote I find funny or thought-provoking - I change it fairly often.
The "Warning: Poster is a [religious identifier]" things I find ridiculous. You're a Catholic/Mormon/Pastafarian/Whatever - so what? If it's relevant it'll be obvious enough, and if it isn't, who cares? And why is it a warning - am I supposed to be afraid of you? Newsflash: This is an online forum, and you can't hurt me.
I have no problem with the "warning: poster is a Wiccan Scientologist". They are not so much bragging or showing of their intellectual strength as just showing solidarity or whatever with their fellow (in most cases) Catholics. I did sort of the same with my title, because it fits my current avatar; I am not bragging, just saying is all.

I feel I must warn those that think religious people or Catholics are uncivilized and backwards that they are dealing with such a person. I have already explained that earlier in the thread as well as a couple of other reasons (unity; 'in character' attribute*).

Mine is one of my favorite quotes (several of my favorite quotes are from Thoreau), a link to a mod I made, and and a token of thanks to Mistfit for making my avatar a transparent .gif. It used to be Frank's head on a white background. There's also a link to LiveScience.com, a website full of articles on science, technology, and history. The sig quote used to be my favorite Civ3 diplomacy line...
