INES II: Gone is the Old Guard

Lima and Brazil, don't exist. It is not worth discussing them in any peace talks.

We second our comrades in Venezuela, their sentiments and demeanor.

Czeth, can we still count on your support?

Yes you can. We will do anything to help support the cause of the Eastern Coalition!

Whatever. I'm done with negotiations and penis waving in this NES. I've made my decision on what to do and its final and irrevocable.

This will be my last post in this thread.

Even if it revives? Does this mean Imago should NPC diplo FEAR?

No..

Well, he said this thread. I'm assuming he is still active. Just sick of this crap.

What crap? That they arn't instantly caving into his demands?

We have to accept the update as it is. There is no point disputing it.

What we have to decide is what happens next.

Is FEAR simply withdrawing from world politics and going nuclear?

Apparently. To be fair, the only demands they will give into is a white peace, which, is not happening.

back, catching up (went to a memorial for a dead relative). PM's sent.

AND YOU CAN ALL SUCK IT!

Let's keep our heads down and wait for this to blow over. Then South America will inherit the world.

Yeah! Then South America will inherit the charred husk that used to be known as Earth! Yeah!

Here's an idea:

The next turn could be a long-term update even if the war doesn't come to an end. Your orders would not include ASP spending, just sections on:

1) What you want to do in relation to nuclear weapons,
2) What your short-term and long-term world war goals and tactics are,
3) What you would press for in a peace treaty if your side won,
4) What you would try to hold onto even if your side lost,

and...

5) What you would try to do in a postwar world.

This would allow me the flexibilty to craft a restarted world where you kept your INES II nations. The long update would probably leave us in the year 2040. Thoughts?

That sounds reasonable to me. The commies and crazies won't have anything to do with that plan though, it's too easy. They just want to end the NES by blowing everything up.

Nuclear fallout wouldn't be a dangerous force to be taken into consideration that far into the future. 2040 is reasonable.

I'd be okay with that, though there's a very real chance that only a couple dozen cities or less get nuked.

How long will it take for Yellowstone's ash cloud to clear? And for the raised sea level from the melted ice caps to sort itself out?

I think one source I read said two years for the first question.

The amount of dead would easily be at least a billion or more. Hell I've killed half a billion Chinese personally. Add that plus the nuked cities, plus radiation and other fallout, famine, poisoned water, lack of agriculture and mass die off's you're looking at maybe 2 billion or more. Most of the world's government would probably collapse in the chaos. I think it will take longer than 36 years to recover. And then lingering effects of increased rates of cancer, birth deformities and so forth.
