Well unfortunately I cannot vote since I get this "The action you have attempted could not be performed as your session appears to be invalid. Click the below link to attempt this action again with a new session. " but I undoubtedly vote B! Watch as Nuclear Winter overcomes the globe. Hmmmm would that interfere with our launch?

Are you overlooking the fact that most of Earth's inhabitants ARE Fanaticans, even after the spaceship takes off? The planet could support a lot of fine upstanding Fanaticans for years to come if we don't poison it for them.

Technically... just techinically perhaps some of our citizens have joined another nation... although I do not think this has happened... and technically just technically there might be some fanaticans left behind but once that spaceship takes off that means that our government and our way of life goes with it... so therefore they are no longer fanaticans soooo....

not fanatican=bad
bad=must die
not fanatican=must die

nice transitive property there! Even though its faulty logic. If im white, and white people leave the planet, i dont become asian. Im still white. So the people who arent on the ship are still fanatican, whether theres a spaceship or not. Dont poison our future, let them be, dont kill our kids, vote for C.

He he, it rymes.

As I am intending to stay on this planet, I want to say that this plan to 'nuke' the world is atrocious! It is an outrage!

How irresponsible it is for our 'Great' leaders to be discussing the destruction of millions, nay billions of lives. And with such apparent GLEE as well.

After working so hard and so long, the common people of Fanatica, who undoubtedly will not be invited to this trumped up pleasure cruise, will watch their children die in the harsh radiation of your departure party. Have you no shame?

And what kind of reception do you think the rest of the world will give to those of our country who elect to say behind? After the glorious spaceship departs, the wolves will regain their strength, amass against the remainder of our nation and tear us asunder!

No Nukes!

Party pooper. :p

Anyway, I think the only nuke I'd fire would be against Berlin...maybe one against Babylon too, but that's it...and I'm not even for sure I'll fire any at all.

Perhaps I am taking this game too seriously. The line between fiction and reality blur...

... this is, after all, supposed to be entertainment, isn't it?

But then again, I make a point of not being callus.

And the whole point of pursuing a Space Ship victory is to vanquish without beating everybody else to a pulp.

If it is your wish, use all the nukes you want, but I will not be party to it. In fact, I believe I will take a holiday in Berlin and start a protest rally against the great Fanatican 'Democracy'.

If I die in radioactive fires, what remains of my blood will be on your hands..

Not that it's going to influence my vote on this issue, but do we even have the inventory of missiles necessary to accomplish either A or B?

Also, it is pure folly to assume that we have the capabilities to construct a spaceship large enough to transport a measurable percentage of our citizens to another world. In terms of the game, launching nuclear missiles would certainly inflict great suffering on nearly 100% of the citizens of the world, including Fanaticans - not necessarily a legacy to be proud of.

We could probably accomplish A if we want to, via ICBM cash rushes (but I won't do that). Plus, launching only one nuke would only inflict damage on the city we launched it against, plus maybe one or a very few of our cities if they retaliate.

Thank you Boots, for not even considering that option. But we might want to think back to Chernobyl, Ukraine where the explosion of an unshielded nuclear reactor caused nuclear fallout to drift as far as Scandinavia and Germany.

Well, there isn't any radiation in Civ, so we don't have to worry about that. ;)

Though in Civ3 the radiation can take form of a Polluted time :p

EDIT: I just noticed - this post may be a bit misplaced (as thread was started in september....) - think of it as a reference to my position if the subject is ever brought up again....

Original post :D :
I say (as many may remember from earlier appearances): GIVE PEACE A CHANCE! :)

Thus indication that I voted C

(hm - Paalikles has spent some time in the DG fora lately...whatever does that mean? OR does it actually mean ANYTHING?)
