Is this enough yet?

Doh! Your logs are driving me crazy. :crazyeye:

The problem is that most of the errors come from CivUp. I don't know which version you have but obviously CivUp was not made for this one. It will be a miracle if we can make everything work correctly under those conditions.

Still, here is a beta6, I made some little finishing touches today and I just added a safety measure against what I guess is your problem. Well, I am pretty sure we will discover another problem after that one but... ;)

Now the good thing is that if I can make IGE work flawlessly under those conditions, it will give some guarantees about its robustness against every mod weirdness. ^^

How you think i feel posting about 70+ pages of logs out of 4300?
I never reached the end of finding the IGE thing lol (stopped at page 233 out of 4300)...might be around 4300 lol... the verson of that VEM mod is 166. I also know i had issues with that mod being CivUP long before G&K came out and avioded it because of crashing while before loading the game...
hell after my saves couldn't even reload the game...

Hopefully its not as big as a guessing game of where my units are at lol

Don't worry, I imagine. :goodjob:

Erf, I should have advised you to use Ctrl+F (edit > find). This would have been a huge time saver. :-/
Or to save, quit, delete your log, then relaunch your game (it would have started a fresh log).

Hopefully its not as big as a guessing game of where my units are at lol
Especially with a giant black box over your screen. ;)

My computer actually gave up warning me on incorrect words after page 50 lmao...less red lines lol. the last spoiler was with the "find".

Good news... no more guessing game. bad news random freezing...which means guessing game on the mods.
1st freeze when i settle a captial 2nd freeze when letting the unit to explore the island. 3rd freeze when i met a 3rd city state...
my luck ain't that good ain't it...

After removing a couple mods no freezing...yay!

v30 has been released.
Finally a reactive strategic map replacement to see all your terrain modifications in real time.

New features
  • Added a Russian translation, thanks to Zodiak69.
  • When using IGE, the strategic map is replaced by a custom version that is correctly updated on every terrain change!
  • Added debugging informations for modders on the tool tips (coordinates on plots, ID and type on buildings, resources, etc).

Bugfixes
  • The highlighted unit in a unit class on the units panel was often wrong since v29.
  • The map tool tip was always reporting unknown resources even if you unchecked the corresponding option.
  • If you forced a city to work some plots, they were messed up after some terrain editions in this city's neighborhood.
  • The fog systems should now be resilient to a very rare civ5 bug that caused all your map to be revealed when editing terrain. They also have been simplified to a great extent thanks to a better understand of fog in civ5 (Firaxis, we need documentation ffs!)
  • If you edited a hex while the map was revealed, the fog over this hex was incorrectly removed.

Changes
  • When a mod changes the tool tips for buildings or units, IGE will now use those tool tips. Same goes with mods adding extra-production/gold/food/culture/faith to cities.
  • The "glance at map" and "bring camera home" features were not working when you took the seat of an AI player (since pre-G&K patch?). Since it is not possible to fix those cases, those buttons are now hidden when you're taking a seat.
  • To prevent random crashes on some computers when deleting a file, IGE will no longer clean up its files by default, this behavior is now optional (right-click IGE). As a result you may see redundant files that all have the same name.
  • Some of the hex highlights were set to have an orange color but this is no longer supported since the pre-G&K patch and they were actually displayed in red. They are now displayed in yellow.
  • The water hexes edition and painting UI have been consolidated since I now better understand how civ5 deals with lakes, seas and oceans. (Firaxis, we need documentation ffs! )
  • Replaced "hide unknown resources" with "show unknown resources".
  • The map tool tool tip now displays units.

PS: Given how complex the map regeneration turned out to be in Reseed, I do not plan anymore to include this feature in IGE and all the related files have been removed.

I have a problem with the space victory - separate thread here - and have a question from one of the nice gentlemen who are helping me find out what the problem is:

I also can load the save w/o the mod. Can't see any obvious reason for not being able to build the spaceship. Does the IGE mod change the save file?

Hello Zodiak! :)
Thank you for that quick update, I am going to include it in my working copy.
yaomingpff.gif
Then I am going to thank YOU for this awesome mod and regular updates!)

v30 already! Glad to see my favorite mod still going strong :)
So... here is the translation. Keep up the awesome job, Don ;)
PS: It's been a long time since I played civ 5 :[ university it's such a pain sometimes...

Just installed the editor through steam, am assuming that I got the latest version. Am using in conjunction with CCTP, and the rivers look like arrows. Browsed through this topic and could not find anything related. I have no idea how to do screen shots.

@EmeraldViper
Thank you for this update, EmeraldViper. :)
And don't worry: you will have even less time once your studies are over and you get a job. :D

@Ronjon
Are you talking about the rivers on the IGE panel? This is intended to show the flow direction (although civ5 does not seem to care about it).
Or the rivers on the new strategic map? Those ones are not exactly like the ones on the default strategic map but they're close enough.

If you think what you see isn't what I am describing, I would need a screenshot. :)

No. Sorry, I should have been more clear, when I try to edit in rivers, they look like arrow heads, and are not connected. Where can I find how to do screenshots?

Obviously, you 're talking about the left side of the terrain panel on IGE. It is not a bug, it is by design, look at the screenshot on the first page of this thread. :)

If I am wrong, you can make a screenshot by hitting the "print screen" key on your keyboard. It will be put in My Documents/My Games/Sid Meier.../Screenshots (or on Steam if you enabled that).
