I lost my PTW/C3C cd. I reinstalled Civ3 and then GOTM Mod Pack. I Played Vanilla GOTM43 far away. Then I got C3C and installed it. Now valinilla Civ3 has problems, looks like C3C overwrited PTW some content. I reinstalled GOTM Mod Pack and looks like it worked for Civ3 vanilla. But should I reinstall again to play new C3C/PTW? I checked the file text/pediaicons.txt or something, and it missed Mod Pack content after C3C install. I had to reload last turn to get a vanilla win. So after this, should I reinstall Civ3/PTW/C3C to another dir to enable C3C, or what? Vanilla + GOTM + C3C isn't working.

I'm not sure what PtW has to do with it . I assume you mean vanilla.

Two possibilities:

1. C3C replaced your existing vanilla installation instead of creating a new separate Civ3 configuration. If so then you had to reinstall the GOTM Mods to finish your GOTM 43 vanilla game.

2. C3C created a fresh installation and left your vanilla installation unchanged, but replaced the vanilla shortcut with its own. If so then you could have tracked down your original vanilla installation and run that executable.

I don't understand how the installer could leave the vanilla pediaIcons.txt file incorrect if it worked otherwise. Was this the only error in GOTM 43 after you reinstalled? Did the Mod installer give you any warnings or errors that might indicate that you installed it to the wrong location?

So after this, should I reinstall Civ3/PTW/C3C to another dir to enable C3C, or what? Vanilla + GOTM + C3C isn't working.
Until we can be sure that you have not corrupted your C3C installation, I would recommend 'yes', make a clean C3C installation. If you don't lose your C3C disk again then you can play future GOTMs in PtW, and you never need to have a working vanilla GOTM-mod version, so you can just delete the copy that is giving you problems.
