Any ideas? I'm not even entirely sure that it's SP-3. All I know is that WorldBuilder worked for my game when I played on the weekend, I installed SP-3 and corrected some TXT_KEY errors for my mod, and now when I start WorldBuilder I get a CTD, with BtS advising me:

This program has encountered a problem and needs to be closed. Do you wish to save a diagnostic file?

With three button options at the bottom of the dialogue box, Normal Dump, Full Dump, & No Dump.

Any help will be greatly appreciated...

This isn't related to your problems. But, I installed SP3 yesterday and now Civilization 4 randomly crashes anywhere from one minute, to two hours. Very strange. Firaxis might want to look into wider compatibility problems.

So, my updates to my mod aren't my problem? After further checking, I'm inclined to agree with you. I undid my changes (which it turns out did include some changes to the Building & Units xml's), but the WorldBuilder still causes a CTD...

What's really strange, is that the WorldBuilder works fine, both with and without my most recent updates, in a new game... Could this just be an issue with SP3 causing a change to a system file that pre-SP3 save games are trying to access?

I'm actually confused with what's happening with my game now. I downgraded back to SP2 and I still get random crashes. It's very strange.

As soon as I find something out, I'll let you know. Hopefully this has a common SP3 cause. I'm thinking that SP3 may have left a file and/or setting behind that is still messing up civ4. Just a guess though.

NukeAJS, I just found what was causing the problems for me. Patch v3.17 for BtS was not installing to the correct directory, and was causing all sorts of weird problems. Check and make sure you don't have an extra BtS directory. Mine was in the same dir as the Civ4 root. Hope that helps...
