Installing Issue

Hi all,

I just bought Civ4 and am having a heck of a time getting it installed.

Here's what's happening:

I load the first Disc and it installs fine, then it asks for Disc2, so I put it in, hit ok and get the following message:

Feature Transfer Error:

Error: Catastropic Error

I've tried everything I can think of and have read on these forums. I've tried creating a new user to instal, same thing. I tried installing in safe mode, same thing. I tried copying all the file to my hard drive, same thing.

Nothing seems to be working, any ideas?

I have the same problem too. A search for "catastrophic" yields one possibly useful hit (the others have to do with game play). This one usable hit is a link to the main Technical Support forum page.

A search for "catastrophic AND install" reduces the number of hits, but doesn't yiled anymore helpful information.

Anybody out there got any ideas?

cd2? I dunno but isn'T civ4 on DVD? what did I miss?
