About time you join in!

Can we Vassal in this world?

A quick glimpse at the settings screen confirms that yes, we can.

Not so fast bucko. Your suffering might not end just yet. For details check the e-mail I'll be sending you shortly.

Here we go again, Imp K & his machinations. :crazyeye:
Just let it play out sort of normal... no fancy push-the-rules deals.
Besides, no one s/b able to do vassaling until it is researched.

Fellow leaders, we gotta watch this guy. He can come up with some "unique" plays. :scan:

As a matter of fact I discovered Feudalism just this very turn, coincidentally of course. ;)

Massive renaming session of my cities. Still struggling to understand some of the placement though. Bath seems to actively avoided settling on the coast. Even when planting for coastal resources! Making it awkward to get work boats to them...

Also do people vassalise often in PBEM games? I'm generally a fight to the bitter end type person! Victory or Death! Although I suppose as a vassal you could smash for a cultural victory under protection...

Check out "The future will be better tomorrow" for a case of me heavily abusing this mechanic.

Haha, I suppose it comes down to me thinking that unless it is a conquest win it isn't really a win. Online in the lobby you always play for conquest! (occasionally dom)

Interesting question here. You get a we influence other civs happy bonus on vassaling. Would it be one happy for the team or 1 per civ in the team

If it's any consolation - and I can't see why it would be :D - I pretty much hated the Spanish homelands. Apart from the gold, I didn't think that much of the other tribes either.

Sorry to put the turn on hold but I need to keep Hercules from committing suicide.

Why? So U can grab/be handed even MORE land, cities, & power?
U R not sorry in the least. Already #1 in the rankings, U seek only to expand WAY too much. :ack:

Fellow leaders, including :king: Herc, in this world, this admitted abuser must be contained.
We should discuss such a threat. PM or email so we can curtail this Putin.

Actually, it is precisely the other way round. I offered Hercules to return Gao and Eridu in exchange for peace between all three of us with him serving as neutral buffer state between you and me. He declined and said that he would rather fight to his death.

Back to responding to Bath - spains start was amazing, and could have been epic! There was the 3 hammer hill on fresh water with 2 food sources. That could have given a stupidly powerful early city which would have sprungboard the development of the whole civ. But then I am very keen on 2/3 ham settles.

:king: Herc of many civs... what say thee?

Quite simply my civs no longer have a future in the game. Also I don't relish the idea of being artificially kept alive in a reservation.

I have been soundly beaten and back stabbed too often in this pbem and that's the nature of the game. Lessons learnt.

I can't accept you to just roll over and die. If need be I'd say we should replace you with a more agreeable player.

An empire falls & then falls apart.
Not the 1st time in history... or the game.

Can U at least re-balance your units? There is some fun in fighting to the end. Even dastardly ImpK has done that.
Or in leaning toward 1 side or the other? Sort of like Germs & Japs wanted to surrender to the good guys, US, rather than Russians or Chinese.

If U R totally burnt out, perhaps the AI should take over? :suicide:

Wow, nice alliance spirit you have going on here. I find it even more funny that my civs are republics since I built the Pyramids while your own are just run of the mill monarchies.

What are we really going to do with this?
