Interesting Screenshots

Totally random game as the Celts... I dealt with the Chinese and Portuguese in short time - there's just one challenge remaining:

Elites fighting barbs is a no-no. :nono:

How come Eldar's and some other people's civilization game is different than mine? I mean, less quality or something? Also, why don't you guys turn up the settings?

because they download different terrain types, or other graphics (or use existing ones in the games that aren't used)

just a matter of little quick modding preferences
Ah, never thought of mods. Thanks.

Not when you have to clear an uprising. You do it any way you can. Though if only a few shields are into the build and you have little gold, may be worth it to let them hit the town and die.

That looks like Snoopy's water color mod.

At that point I didn't have much of an army left - I didn't need one, having no opposition left and no contact with the other continent (and no interest in contacting them either! later on the Inca came across with the help of the Great Lighthouse, otherwise I'd have happily pushed for a 100K win without ever meeting 5 of the 7 AIs)

It's Warpstorm's watercolor terrain, not Snoopy's.

I was playing the Civ-Content Double your Pleasure when I noticed something very strange...

Well it seems you're playing an outdated version of that mod, so it's not surprise.

Click on the 'Post Reply' button. Below the text box, smilies, and Submit/Preview buttons, there will be another box called Additional Options.

Click on 'Manage Attachments', and you will get a dialog to attach a file and you can use this to get a screenshot attached.

This assumes that you've already created the picture file. If you haven't, in game press PrtScrn. Then Alt-Tab out of the game, Start -> Run -> MSPAINT, and paste the screenshot into there. Then save it. Then you can do the above instructions....

What's with the ?'s in the tech tree?

I was looking at my newly acquired city and noticed that the resisters had hit points and they're stacked?!?

Ok, brain engaged now...

But it did give me a moment's pause in the war.

Did you know the AI needs advisors...
I have proof here too!
I was Prussia in the Napoleonic Europe scenairo and I had ended up at war with the Ottoman Empire (click on the spolier for full details on how the war came about.) As I tried to make peace I also proposed a mutual protection pact but his foreign advisor wasn't happy about it.

(If you can't read it he says "My foreign advisor has told me to laugh at you in the face - So HA!"

Spoiler :
First, Russia signed a military aliance with France against Britain. Then Austria signed a military alliance with Britain against Russia. As i was preparing to invade Austria anyway I signed a mutual protection pact with Russia, which got me into the war against Austria. When I took a lot of their cities my military ran out of steam and I made peace with Austria as well as a mutual protection pace. However during the war Russia made the Ottomans declare war on Austria, and my mutual protection pace with Austria made me declare war on the Ottomans. As my troops wern't on the Ottoman border the war quickly became stalemated with me only taking the cities that the Ottomans only defended with a Sapahi after they conqured them from the Austrians. Then the Ottomans got Jassinaries and the war did nothing for either of us, but when I tried to make peace...

Some words of wisdom for you:

A. Never, ever, ever, ever, ever, EVER take a picture in bitmap format. It's impossible to read. Use JPEG or PNG.
B. Make the MPP and Peace Treaty seperate. Generally, tying other 20-turn deals (besides gpt and resource deals) to peace treaties results in much annoyance.

That's just because he shrunk it. The only thing "wrong" with bitmap is that it makes large file sizes because it preserves all the pixels info. I often use it to preserve perfect image quality when I'm still working on an image before saving it in another format (which will nearly always look perfectly fine) when I'm done.

I hit the jackpot here.
