Interesting Screenshots

Well, I suppose there isn't an official policy, but usually the mod makers will post conditions under which their mod can be used. Many are free use, as long as you give credit. But it's always fair to ask for permission when the conditions are a bit fuzzy.

Colonizing Native Americans?

Hi,

most of the time my timing failed, but today it is perfect.

No research founds are wasted (please note Madrid and the research time). :D

This is by the way my favorite earth map. Europe is extra large, while areas with no or only one culture are significent shrunked. In its original form however is Cape Horn not passable, but two or three clicks in the editor solved that problem for me.

I wish that Raz would make a larger version. With 31 cultures it is slightly cramped.

And yes, I make myself some room in Europe and Australia. ;)
But I am not in Central America: The Maya got exactly the same color like Spain.

Erm... actually, you want to finish research and the ToE on the same turn. The research will complete first, you can set it to whatever free tech you want, then ToE will finish and give you that free tech, then you get another free tech.

Hi,
Erm... actually, you want to finish research and the ToE on the same turn.
If I remember correctly, the one and only time I managed to do so, the ToE gives me the resarched tech and so wasted my science founds. But it is a long time ago, I am getting old and my memories may be not the best. ;)

I'm sorry to say this, but no, your timing is far from perfect. I mean, airports in the early 15th century?!?
You mean I had to wait for the 14th century to conquer the Netherlands?
And that I had to wait with the Invasion of Great Britain until 1588? And that I have than to scuttle my invincible Armada? :D

Makes no difference, you just get gold for those extra turns. And if you're doing it right, you need all the gold you can get.
I am allready on shortest possible resarch time (4 rounds) with 70% Science and I have just throttled down to 60% in the last round for some extra money. :D

Oh, and I just finished the UN in 1630, brided every other nation with techs and won the election. ;)

Science happens before anything else in the Inter-turn, including the building of wonders. You'll get that tech, and then you'll get the two ToE free techs.

Hi,

an older screenshot.

We see all of the glorious Incan Empire on its one tile island via investigate city (I played the Iroquois).

I tremble in fear of the incan intention with that worker...

I played a game where the only unit the 1-tile island home had was a worker. :shake::rotfl:

They could be planning on using that galley to transport it to that mountain, to get one more commerce and shield via a mine and road.

Who am I kidding.

Well, obviously, the AI wants to go road and mine that mountain tile on the mainland.

Sometimes the pRNG gods do something we like.

Why would we want that? Then we can't go kill the barbarians for gold and experience!

I think that's the first time I've ever seen a barb camp spawn on top of a volcano, though.

You forget that my chances of killing a barb are only 50/50 at best. (I'm on regent w/ that 400% bonus  )
