lets see who can find this one... i PROMISE i didn't edit this at all/mess with the stuff in the game to make it like the way it is

i finally figured out how that happens! i feel accomplished :)

You just pushed the ABC buttom, and then accidently saved the Guerilla name.

i don't have advanced buttons on every... if i wanna rename, i use shift-r... i am as stumped by this one as anyone is... the onlything i have EVER done to my guerillas is upgrade them all at once.... and that shouldn't have kept the name... other than that, i haven't touched them, only moved them to a spot, where they sat motionless.

really, what are you patched fully? I'm pretty sure you must use shift-n to rename a unit...maybe that's just Conquests?? Oh well, doesn't matter much anyway :p

oh, my bad... i always think it is shift-r, but it is shift-n.... i wasn't thinking

thanks :)

Dude, the advanced buttom is showing in your screen...

Heh, they should have bee lined for map making, shouldn't they?

They'll be able to grow once they get to Electricity.

They sure have enough units to survive....

No, it's not that easy...the dumb AI in that case just keeps on spamming units until they have to bring research down to keep a treasury (though they do set a limit at 20-30% science in my experience)

Holy $#!t! That's a lot of units! If I were Korea, I'd take out some of those Greek cities with all those Archers.

Why the hell did they not build a barracks? It only costs them 40 shields, the equivalent of 2 archers, 2 spearmen, or 1 of each. A force of 48 Veteran Archers/Spearmen is better than a force of 50 Regular Archers/Spearmen.

Map Making wouldn't be much help- it would let Seoul grow, but it would have to do so slowly and make 3 spt, or a bit faster and make 1 spt. Besides, by the time they got Map Making, there wouldn't have been much settling room left, and they need 30 turns (Knowing the AI, they emphasize growth over production) to make 1 Settler.

In any case, the Map Generator was unkind to Wang Kon.

One more reason to carefully watch what your city governor wants to build.

(I guess it's not so hard to figure out how this happened.)

hmm, I didn't know you were allowed to build a research lab if you built The Internet (that's the wonder that gives free research labs, right?)

this happens alot to me with the Pyramids or Sun Tzu's Art of War (on accident, i try not to let it happen)

you start building a granary/barrack, or in this case, a research lab, and then, before it gets finished, you build the Pyramids/Sun Tzu's, or in this case, the Internet

the computer like never catchs it, and lets you finish building the improvement, even though it already has one. Just like when you build the ToA, and start a cathedral. Once the ToA is obsolete, you can still continue the Cathedral, even though you don't have a temple
:crazyeye:

Yeah, but if it happens with a wonder that goes obsolete, the improvement you build will remain after the wonder has become obsolete.

Does this also happen if a wonder is destroyed? So in the example, if the city with the Internet were destroyed, would the city that manually built it still have one? I assume so, but I seldom see wonders destroyed, so I didn't know for sure.

i would assume so... seeing as destroying the wonder is just like making it obsolete. just... destroying it is more of a destructive sense, and turning it obsolete is more of a preservation:lol:

I just set up an invasion on Aztec, the last civ in the game. This is Sid so they build and build till they puked. Anyway this is the most units I have seen in any one civ. I ran into sevral with 2200 or so, but they have around 3600 units.

*looks at screenie, jaw drops a foot* :wow:

941 INFANTRY!!!!!!

My friend, you're going to need some nukes. Lots of nukes.
