Just a question for you lads; how often do you see the AI build barricades?

I've got a pic from my recent game where the Americans built two forts and then two barricades on adjacent tiles. I'll post it next week if you're interested.

Heck, I've never seen them build fortresses, let alone barricades! (then again, I don't usually build them either...)

I think the only time they build them is when it's on a bottleneck. Of course, when you attack it in the industrial ages, it's only held by a warrior or spearman... What a waste...

:nuke:

On the upside, you're industrious and you have spices:lol:

Wow, what did you do to anger the RNG gods? :crazyeye:

Probably for a very lucky game previously, 7 SGLs with a wonderful start and five lux on my continent once I kill everyone else plus an extremely long-lived
Aztec-Rest of the world war of attrition on the other landmass that slowed everyone and let me race ahead a whole age-on Emperor:crazyeye:

HOLY COW Sashie!!

How far did it go on?

Well, at least it isn't all marsh. You would have to build a lot of workers in that case...

I got an almost all-marsh start in a recent game. I didn't even bother.

Yes, if I played that, I'd go 1N for the river and the coastline.

You can't do that Chox... You can't found cities on marshland.

Oh, right. Oops. I forgot that.

As promised (?):

The infamous American Barricades. What a waste of worker turns. I think they planted a city next to a volcano too.

:hatsoff:

Anarchy in the UK?

I believe you guys have seen this one before.

I revolted from despotism and got the lucky number seven. I hired a lot of scientists instead of clowns to finish Feudalism during anarchy.

Re the barricades: it seems to work...I presume the Elite Spear used to be a regular like the one behind him
Re Anarchy: I see that more frequently with Republic than Feudalism...I usually revolt in the interturn when slingshotting.
