Media Convert. Convert almost any type of media. I use this just about every day.

MediaFire. Unlimited file uploading/downloading. Only limit is 100 MB per file. Although it's not required, registering for an account is recommended.

RhymeZone. Rhyming dictionary.

http://www.blinklist.com/
BlinkList. Social bookmarking website. You can pick whether to make your links private or public. (On my account, part of them are private, part public).

FreePDFConvert. Convert files to PDFs.

http://www.easybib.com/
EasyBib. Create bibliographies easily. Useful for students, but it's always a good idea to check with your teacher first.

Why should it be separate from the software thread?

Because software is things you download. Some people don't like downloading. I don't mind it, but I prefer to use online tools.
