Btw, are you not scared that your main cities might get nuked by other civs? in the game in this thread, i can see that your main cities and capital are deep within your territory and you will have other cities in the perimeter as cannon fodder for nukes. if you will see my playthrough, my capital and all other cities are quite vulnerable to nukes but since me and the other civs just arrived in the atomic era, there is still no nuclear warfare going on. i am actually concerned to my cities once this happens

I guess it's possible that my capital could be nuked, but I think it would be hard to do without someone taking one of my outward cities first.I don't know if the AI knows how to use nuclear missiles on submarines or atomic bombs on carriers or not, but it might could hit me that way if it could actually do that.

On my last game on prince using USA, i saw the Ottomans use a carrier and drop an Atomic bomb to the German city of Dortmund (if i remember correctly, and i was able to see this because i have a spy on the said city). I was shocked as well since the German nation has an entire continent of their own and the Ottomans will need aerial and naval forces to attack them. Not only that, but the Ottomans also have a Carrier with Bombers and a Fighter plane! which conducts an Air sweep before they use their bombers. It is actually awesome to see such tactics used by the AI.

With that happening on Prince, I expect much more with King that's why i'm concerned about it.

BREAKING NEWS! I just got g&k! Modern era units are stronger, but policies have been nerfed. There are some stuff I have yet to see, but for now, this is all I know.

the pack has tons of Industrial era units. They are crude, early versions of your oil based army. Land ships are an example. I have yet to see how spying and religion works out. The AI also has a more varied army. They have artillery and infantry with planes and stuff. Social policies were nerfed, and the G.S also got nerfed. Way to go firaxis! But I think it would be a good pack to use. This is the best description I can give you. Only you will decide if you get it. When I play tomorrow, I will gather more details.

yes G&K might be the reason. but i hate religion i wish there is an option to disable it just like espionage.


i have a question though, do you actively pursue and cultivate diplomatic ties with other civs in the game in this thread? like having alliances and renewing it constantly before it expires?

I think during the time that I was playing this game and had not yet started this thread, I rarely, if ever, made any DOFs with anyone.But now about the only civ I'm making DOFs with is Russia, and I'm not even sure how long this will continue.I didn't show this in the last update, but Cathy asked me for some luxury resource and I gave it to her.

But with everyone else I don't do much to cultivate ties with them except for just trading and such.I do sometimes give someone their cities back that they have lost, but I don't think you get any special benefits from that unless you liberate them.

like stallone said in expendables 2, keep your distance. Dof's almost always mean you make enemies. With the spying aspect in g&k (should you get it), you have a chance of getting intriuge, and often tells you a civ is prepping for war against someone else. When it comes to city states, this is a war in itself. Every 2 turns, a message says someone rigged elections in Milan. I ended this unneccesary spam when I took it. Just know that every friend in the world creates another enemy. Team up with closely trusted friends and those who are superpowers. btw, is montezuma teetering towards defeat?

Yeah, maybe they didn't escape as much as they thought they did.They settled the city, only to realize that somehow it's still under Japanese control.

Alert, people!I hope this works.Steam won't let me play Civ5 anymore, saying I have to install it.So I'm going to uninstall it and reinstall.But I've taken the save file for this game out to keep it alive.I hope everything goes ok.

Maybe this story will continue.

Edit:Okay, everything went fine and the game is now working again.I loaded the save file just to make sure it was okay and it appears to be.
