Introduction: Newbie

Hello,

I'd just like to say I have been lurking in these forums for a long time. Only today(about 5 moments ago in the shower actually) I decided to join mainly for advice and to share my obsession with you folks out there in crazy internet land. I do not know much about computers, or this game. I'm not very technical, but what am is a nerd and a history major; therefore a fan of civilization.

By the way, in the future my posts will not be so formal. It takes way to much effort to think in full sentences and check all my spelling. Frankly, I wish to save my energy on formal writing for my school work and job.

Hope to talk to all of you and share in our mutual civilization experiences.

This, and the Strategy & Tips forum are good places to get advice on improving your game. The better your questions, the better the advice you'll get. If you want help with a specific situation it is usually helpful to post screenshots and/or a saved game.

Look in the Colosseum for discussions of history - as well as other subjects not related to the game. You'll probably find that many players have at least some appreciation of history...
