IO5 - Gotta Catch 'Em All!

OK I'll play tonight.

I probably won't play until tomorrow - neil can take his turn if he wants.

It's been four days and nothing. Did you think that because I had Civ V, I would abandon you?

Foolish people.

Paradigm, take your turn. I don't want this game to stall.

Will play tonight.

Every time I want to download it it seems the server is too busy ;) And then I end up too drunk ;)

EDIT: What am I supposed to be doing, sorting out the economy? OKiedoke. Downloaded the save while the server is still up.

Neil can have his turn after me then if he wants...

I've played my set. Not sure if I am going to do the writeup tonight though.

Economy nearly sorted - 2 turns from currency.

Misclicked during typing up of my writeup and closed the CFC window... grrr. I'll do it tomorrow now probably.

Who is playing next Neil or Brian?

EDIT: Here's the save anyway. I captured a barb city, met Pacal and am 2 turns from currency. Also have a settler at the site marked as a good city on the map.

Neil missed his turn though so maybe he wants to go next?

Yes, go ahead Brian.

I have been busy in the dungeon running & re-running different scenarios for the SGOTM.

Ok the plan seems to be fairly obvious:
1) Found Fuschia in the flood plains site the settler is on (etruscan becomes Celadon)
2) Continue chopping out the HG in Cerulean.
3) Bump science to 70% to get Curr in one turn, see what Alex will trade for it.
4) Whip the settler in Vermilion asap, and rehire the 2 scientists. Scout out the Cow/Clam/Dyes site, if it's gone plant on the Clam site opposite Pacal.
5) Tech: CoL>CS>Mach.
6) Build army to stomp Alex and/or Qin as preferrable. I think we should at least wait until Alex has settled the north peninsula and Qin gotten rid of the Jungle for us.

Question:
10 turns or 15?

If you all like the plan I'll play tomorrow.

Sorry about the lack of an update. Not much happened really.

We probably need spears since we are likely to come up against mounted. Pacal may be a juicier target but he is overseas.

Sorry about the delay with my turnset, didn't have time last night and being suffering timeouts on the site all day.

So to the game:

Whip the settler in Mermilion
Rename the two cities
Scout
Found Fuschia and start Granary
Tech @ 70%

Thoughts:
Qin will be our next main target, though Alex has left a nice juicy city north of Pallet for us to take. Maybe get Qin to go against Alex with us, take the city, backstab Qin and peace Alex same turn.

We should get priesthood (full tech 2 turns) and run priests to get a GPr for the shrine, it be good gold if we do.

I'm thinking we probably should go after Shaka before Pacal, by the time we'd be ready for either Shaka will be a lot less advanced.

I'd like to keep things simple, but what does everyone else think?

Sounds good to me.

If true, also sounds good to me.

Why do something easily and simply when you cand do it complicated and hard?

If true, also sounds good to me.

Shaka and Monte are especially prone to this, unless he likes Pacal (unlikely) Shaka's science will be severley stunted when we get to Rifling/Steel.
