History of Italy:
The German-Italian War
- Italian soldiers in Vienna, Austria
A hard era:
2054! The beginning of a hard era. Germany, without any reason, declared war on Italy. Italy , being a neutral nation in this new cold war, didnt had any allies, so the Germans didnt even bothered to find a reason to explain the war. They just attacked. The German air force, with the help of the Scandinavian Air Force destroyed the entire Italian Air Force. But the Italian people couldn't let the Germans take over their nation, and kill their families. This was their home, and they had to defend it. So the march begun.
Defense of Italy:
Soon, the Italian army gathered at the borders and started a desperate defense against the superior, both in numbers and technology, German army.
For many hours the Italians fought, for their nation. The president himself went to the front and said to his troopers << Fight for the nation!! Fight for democracy!!>>. The Italian army destroyed the German invaders. Not only that, but they started push the enemy back to Germany. This time the Italians were the invaders. Their goal: Take over Germany and enforce a total peace.
Marching on Berlin:
So the Italian, managed not only to push back the invaders, but counterattack in their homeland. The Italians, led by their thirst for revenge, and nationalist dreams of re-creating the Roman empire, started to march on Berlin. At first they took over Croatia, after 7 hours of battle. Croatian nationalists, and the people in general, were very happy to be free from German oppression, especially after the promise of the Italian president for full independence after the war. The Croatians nationalists joined this << Croatian War of Independence >> and helped the Italians. So now an Italian-Croatian army marched on Vienna, and after 43 hours of battle in the streets of the city, Austria was placed under Italian occupation, and was to be fully annexed in Italy. Finally the Italians had the upper hand. From a desperate defense to protect their homeland, they were now in a campaign to create an empire and take revenge. Everyone wanted to attack and burn Berlin. Once the Italian-Croatian- Austrian army marched into Switzerland, the governor of the area surrender without a fight. But the German army was still stronger and larger, while the Italian weakened from all those battles, and with a a few troopers remaining. The army needed rest, but there was no time. The re-creation of the Roman empire came first. So the multinational army prepared for marching against Berlin. But the causalities were huge, with more than 20,000 dead soldiers.

Document from soldier in the German front:
<< My name is Vianco. I fought in the war as a general. I ordered all soldiers to stay in position, and then i said << Italians!! Today we have to defend our nation!! Today we have to defend our homes!! Today we have to defend our families!! Today we have to win!!>>. So we started firing on the enemy soldiers that attacked us. Then we throw grenades blowing up the German scums. Finally we created a trap, and we had poison gas fill the air, and kill 150 Germans.>>
