In heard a statement of Berlusconi on the news recently where he stated that the muslim culture is futile in comparison to the western culture. How dare's he?

He's already supports a lot of extremic right-wing groups. And he has almost the whole of the Italian media in his hands. And now he shows how he thinks about other culture's.where is this going to end?

Thats a facism?
I'll remind our dear mod now again for his comment:..
Take your head out of your ass and start seeing the world for what it is. The muslim are just plain murderers, who support murderers, who then laugh and sing about it, claiming it was "Allah's will".(..)

[EDIT: ]
NO! I'm sorry AofA!.. This was wrong.
The correct quote is here:..

(..)Take your head out of your ass and start seeing the world for what it is. The muslim states are filled with dirty murderers, who support murderes, who then laugh and sing about it, claiming it was "Allah's will".(..)
Sorry again...

I am not saying i support terrorists. And making a generalization that every muslim is a murderer ,that i call racism too.

And that statement of Berlusconi i call racist too.and knowing he's the PM of italy ,and that all of his coalitian partners are extreme right-winged too ,and that he control's almost all tv-stations and newspapers in his country ,then i tend to believe that italy is slipping towards facism too.

He was "right" in one (and only one) sense: that Western culture is eventually going to minimize the influence of that of their own.

Half of Italy is with Berlusconi
The other half is versus him (like me)
He said things very stupid and UNTIMELY

And many things aren't going well with him
He reached his role of PM in spite of the obvious CONFLICT OF INTERESTS (now he has 3+3=6 TV channels), and now surely he'll make a law to legalize what he's doing.
He won because the extremist communists decided not to ally with centre-left, so many votes versus Berlusconi were lost.

But italy isn't going into fascism. The other half is ready to take to the streets

Berlusconni's comments were poorly timed, and motiveted more by issues with opposition to globalization and his desire to equate that with terrorism. Calling Western civilization 'superior' was racist, if not close to facist.

HOWEVER - as my grandma used to say - "Even a broken clock is right 2 times a day." Some of the nations perhaps sheltering terrorists do NOT support any of the ideals that most Westerners feel are key to a civil society - and that ALL of us exercise when we post on these boards!! Rights of women and children (basically property of men), freedom of speech, freedom of religion, right to privacy, fair trial, etc. are NOT respected by many Islamic states - even 'moderate' ones. These states come more close to 'facism' than western nations.

I think it would be hard to start a facist 'revolution' based on the idea that "we are superior because we are not facists."

(Of course, does Berlusconi actually believe in the Western values he called 'superior?" - - or was it just a convenient argument. )
