I guess this is the point where I have to admit that I never saw an Adam Sandler movie completely. In fact I can't even remember having seen one partially, but that may be alcohol related.
But what I've seen in trailers combined with what I've heard from friends was enough to dislike them strongly.
It seems to be awfully close to common German comedies, which live up to their cliché.
I suppose you can either take that much or you can't. In that way he is similar to Monty Python. I know many people who either don't get Monty Python at all or find it funny until it gets to extreme nonsense level.
Hmm, what I really like is when it gets to the extreme nonsense level, but I still don't see a connection to farting in it (maybe someone actually farted, but that's irrelevant).
Not all farts are equally funny, imagine a fart in a teenage comedy compared with a Nazi officer suddenly farting in a serious WW2 movie.
