Is there anyway to make the "first time" pleasurable for the woman?

Most women hated their first times because it was either painful or extremely unsatisfying, I'm just wondering if anyone can offer any advice on how to make the first time more pleasurable for them. Should I be extremely slow about? Do a lot of talking? Please give serious and sincere advice And share stories if you want.

Well, I've seen a few love advices on this forum before but I guess this may be a little more "vulgar".

Prom is right around the corner and it's all I can think about basically. I really want to make the first time worth remember for my date and my friends aren't experienced enough to really give me good advice. I know there are many members here who are well into their 20s and 30s and I just want some input from them.
