Of course, by then the damage of rearing w/out any kind of demands or limits is already done. Witness how hordes of spoiled brats turned Gothenburg into a battlefield last year. It was so bad even Swedish courts, known in the whole world for their victim-blaming antics, finally managed to put away some of these "misunderstood children", but now they prosecuting the police for having saved the city from the voilent mob of barbarians.
