Firstly, what Arwon said. Shorten articulated his point poorly, but he's essentially just saying what the reality is, particularly in the ALP at the moment given the leadership 'struggle' over the last year. What did the reporter expect him to say? "I haven't seen them so I'll reserve judgement," implying there's a possibility he'd disagree with his PM?

I'm sure he's in for a promotion within the party.

Decent money could be put (and probably has been put, given he's at about $5) on him being PM a year from now.
