Is this PC a good deal?

No. You can build your own for much less right now. This weekend you can probably find enough deals to pick up that pc you're linking to for about 450$. For 800$ you can build a respectable gaming rig.

The graphics card isn't that great in that PC, so it might not cut the mustard for newer games. Also, if you don't want to build one like Gunocidicbunny suggested, this PC is more powerful and runs the same price.

I would personally build one if I were about to spend 800 bones on a new PC. It's a good learning experience, really isn't that difficult, and you'll have a much easier time maintaining and upgrading your PC in the future.

Well, your laziness will cost you a couple hundred USD, so, make your choice.

I'd understand if you didn't have the time. I'd understand if you were a bit worried about messing up. I'd also understand if you were just plain not interested. But not trying simply because you're lazy?? Sorry dude, that's no excuse.

Well to be honest, I have no knowledge how to build a PC and its just to my thing. Regardless I doubt I would have be able to trust myself, had a bit of a shakey history working on my PCs and I lost a lot of confidence in my own abilities. I should have worded that better. I just want to buy a ready made PC.

Also, you should look this up on Amazon since you can get free shipping and no tax on the pc, which for a 800$ pc could save you 100$.

I've built my own PCs, but I think it's not a good idea to suggest it to someone who doesn't have that knowledge - let alone to mock them for not doing so!

And people preferring to spend money to save time or effort is commonplace in any other area (Buying ready made furniture instead of DIY? Calling a plumber etc instead of fixing things yourself? Eating out versus cooking? Getting a taxi instead of walking?), and no one considers that lazy. Some of us might have a skill in computers that saves us money, but there are many other areas where we are probably lacking.

Newegg sells pre-built machines too, and as an earlier poster pointed out, he could get a much better machine for the same price from NewEgg. My point is to not shop at BestBuy, not that everyone should always build their own PC's.
