Ive tried these and they are great but I see no animals at the start. Anyone else notice this? Anyone know the reason?

Ive seen the animals around. Got nailed by many many spiders lol

It mostly depends on the seetings you choose mroe than the map script. Animals will spawn if their are big unexploded areas and there arent many cities ont he map (after there get over a certain amount of cities barbs spawn instead of animals).

So animals will be less likely if:

1. You add more civs to the map than the default.
2. You use advanced start.
3. You play barbarian world.
4. you dont start in the ancient age.

Sorry, but I just had to point out that one typo.

So anyway, I've tried them both, and there were actually more animals than usual. It depends a lot on how the map shapes out.

where is the perfect world mapscript at? I found the creation one, but not sure where the other one is.

It's probably about time I tried out these two popular mapscripts.

Thanks.

The perfect world looks cool, although it seems more suited to standard or larger maps and I prefer small maps.

That must be it then. Maybe a stupid question but how do you find out what the number of default civs for a map is?

when you change the map size when making a custom game, it seems to automatically adjust the number of players to the "default".
