Has anyone played against japan when they use the french specialist??? Well, I for have...and its not fun. How can we be expected to beat something that fights with such ferociousness, regardless that you have already smacked it around like a tadpole. I was even playing on settler, which should be a tad bit easier, but it was not...talk about getting hit upside the head by the Arc de Triomphe--- Ieeya

I am not sure exactly what is meant by "french specialist". As far as I know, CIV V does not have an 'unrestricted leaders" option as IV did. Did you make a small mod, are you talking about the french UU (which are both awesome); or am I completely off?

Militaristic city-states can grant UUs for other civs, though I'm not aware that AI civs make any use of city-states at low difficulties.

OOh- I didn't think about that - yeah japan with a musketeer would be something truly evil!

Actually, being Japan and allying with militaristic CS's could lead to a lot of very interesting things I hadn't even thought of . . .

I've often thought Samurai and Musketeer should have a rivalry similar to that of Ninja and Pirate.

Bushido Janissary: keeps on fighting forever.
