Japanese Giant Hornet: 1, Honey Bee: 0

Some of the footage is real. But most of the footage of the Hornets attacking looks fake. Especially when the first Hornet bites off the head of a Bee.

I've seen this months ago.
I am surprised by the amount of people who have not seen it...
And it is real - all of it. :p

I wonder how they would fare against killer bees...

I'd pay to watch that. Why don't they have bug fights?

Hmm, you are right, it would be interesting.
But you know what? I think the killer bees will win because they come out in huge swarms and they are very aggressive.

The giant hornets are very resistant to bee stings. Killer bees might be able to fight them off but they would loose a lot of soldiers in the process.

The main difference between European and African bees is that African bees are much more agressive. They aren't super bees or anything like that.

It would be an insect version of Thermopylae.

I know, I've seen what killer bees can do with their aggression on humans. :( It is sickening sometimes.

And, BTW, they got that aggressive and developed the ability to survive so well because they were originally from Africa (IIRC) and they had to face harsh climates, and get their food, which was a lot harder there, therefore, they have evolved to be little killers.

I'm pretty sure that the language that your post was typed (and I use the word typed loosely) in does not exist.

its Xennic, a sub dialect of the Lingua Spammatia from the lower OT regions of Northern CFC

People, these Giant Hornets are not fake. They're fairly rare and are only found in the mountainous regions of Japan (thank god). I've actually seen one in a museum insect collection.

I live in central Tokyo and I have seen them checking out our flower pots, I have also seen one in Kyoto. In fact Tokyo has a surprising variety of insect life, and a lot of them seem to be either large and/or vividly coloured; red and blue dragon flies, huge butterfiles and spiders cicadas to name a few.

Interesting. The head on the first one keeps moving after the rest of the body has been, well, ripped off.

;)

Yeah, I just noticed it. Or he could just be running from another Giant Hornet on the other side...

2000 posts. :yeah:

Camel Spiders!

These Spiders run 10 mph, jump three feet and are nocturnal, so only come out at night unless they are in shade - Nice !!! When they bite, you are injected with Novocain so your skin is 'numbed' instantly. You don't even know you've been bitten when you're sleeping, so you wake up with part of your leg or arm missing because it's been gnawing on it all night long.

If you are walking around and you bump something that is casting a shadow over it, and the sun makes contact with it, you better run. It will instantly run for your shadow....and scream the whole time it's chasing you.

PS. The one on the bottom is eating the one on the top. These are Spiders found daily in IRAQ by troops. Imagine waking up and seeing one of these in your tent!!
