dude, i'm just annoyed by all those social media crap popping up on every site. among other stuff.
and yeah, while i do have a facebook account i don't want facebook to track whatever site i visit.
and they can easily do that even without cookies if their bloody javascript is embedded in every damn site.
it's not a matter of i-suck-because-i'm-too-poor-to-afford-a-decent-internet-connection.
and for the record: I have 16 mbit flat and I pay €25 a month. That comes with a free cable telephone flat. 50 mbit would cost me about €29 a month, but 16 is satisfactory.
and besides: too much javascript slows down your browsing experience not just because of long load times, but because it takes CPU power to run, especially if the code is crap. Even I notice it on some sites and my laptop is among the top models.

So, I am rather impressed with your diligence. I am far too lazy to maintain my computer like that. My comment wasn't directed at you, or at anyone else in particular either, just all the people out there who are so paranoid they turn JS completely off.
