Just in time? Of course we are glad you are back, but the empire is flourishing. Our armies are rolling over the Indians, we just built the Colossus and are about to get a free technology from being first to Liberalism.

We need to keep an eye on Turfan, the AI keeps wanting to assign Great Artists. The National Epic can be rush built soon. After that and the ending of the war with Gandhi (by elimination of course), we should consider giving up the ways of Slavery for Caste system.

Possibly take Nationalism with the free tech from Liberalism (we have an Education monopoly, so its almost a certainty). With a little luck York will generate a great Engineer for the Taj Mahal.

I have left the attack on Madras to my successor. There is one more Cat coming, but they could attack immediately. I have started sending a few of the new recruits to Turfan, to finish off the Mongols.

T0. Traded Engineering to Alexander for Music and 520gp. Traded Paper to Qin for Compass and 90gp. Used Great Scientist for education for 2100 beakers and a shot at Liberalism. Started Philosophy.
T1. Put several Universities into production. Paper to Alexander for Optics.
T2. Delhi comes out of revolt, but is facing starvation. I up the culture slider to try to limit the damage.

JJ02 - 1412.JPG

T3. The problem in Delhi is cured.

JJ02 - 1418.JPG

T4. Lost 1 Maceman capturing Bombay.
T5. Traded Gold to Peter for Gems. Horse Archer scoping out Peter's territory.

JJ02 - 1430.JPG

T6. More scoping.

JJ02 - 1442A.JPG

T7. Ho-hum.
T8. Ho-hum.
T9. Started attack on Madras, but unfortunately I realized I should have waited a turn. Lost 2 Cats.
T10. Built the Colossus in York. Philosophy>Liberalism.

0. MM Turfan for growth. We need it to grow faster to be whipped. Sent 3 suicide cats at Madras, one withdrew. Killed four longbows and a mace and took the city, losing one mace. We capture four workers.

1. Healing and moving towards Kolhapur (Indian city north of Madras.)

kolhapur0000.JPG

2. Whip National Epic in Turfan.

3. Take Kolhapur with no losses. It was only garrisoned by a longbow and a horse archer.

4. Still moving towards Calcutta. It is far away and will have to be razed.

IT: Genghis declares war for no apparent reason. He doesn't even have forces andywhere near our border. :crazyeye: Decide to ignore him for now. Qin also declares war on Asoka. I guess he wants that last city.

genghiswar0000.JPG

5. Give Peter Corn for Gems.

6. Rush theater in Bombay, it is under bad cultural pressure and is in an awful spot, with basically no production or growth. Rush a Courthouse in Delhi, as it has -8 maintenence. Bombing Calcutta and moving troops towards it. Qin seems to have a significant presence in the area, lots of Cho-ku-nus. He is going to have a hard time taking the city without maces or cats, though.

7. Bombing Calcutta. It has two longbows and two horse archers.

IT: We get Liberalism and choose Nationalism as our free tech. Even if we don't want to build the Taj, it is expensive and leads to Military Tradition. Next player should probably revolt to free religion, if not free speech.

8. Science down to 60%

9. Kill the longbows at Calcutta, but the Horse Archers are left due to bad combat luck. Two maces die.

10. Qin steps in and razes the last indian city. Asoka is dead! Culture down to 0%, no need for it anymore.

or go to the bottom of any forum page and click "upload file" to upload to the civfanatics server. They limit the types of files, but game files are fine.

thanks willow brook and spriteSODA.

Looks like Blastiodstalker is now a Skip. If people don't show signs of life soon we may have to get some new players. Sand is now Up.

this was definatly a boring turnset. nothing really to report except khan sent the odd unit to pillage.
a great engineer was born so i sent him to our GP farm incase we were going to rush the globe being built there. but i would go taj mahal somewhere else possibly in indian lands.
the techs were guilds---> gunpowder---> ? next peron decides i would say printing press.
