Curzs Log Strophe 12, 240
I am the simple cook, the slave, naïve to the ways of kings and queens. This I give to you, in my first climb to power. Nah flight to power! For I am now the leader of all who fear the mountain. You know nothing yet, for I have never been seen by eyes so prying. I am Curz, the king of slaves, the monarch of those shadowy things you never think of. Or so they thought, oh but to shame I would put them!
I shall start with my stumbling into a meeting of some importance. For you see, I had been caught steal, the penalty of theft was death, or the removal of the thieves tools, which in this case was my hands, and I desperately need my hands! How else am I suppose to eat, and sleep, and steal. To me at that time, it was a must. More so, I would never be able to play my lovely drums. And everyone loves drums right?
Back to my original dilemma, I needed a way out so, with my all knowing mind, I devised a plan. Now mind you, at the moment I was in chains, being held by quite a large man, before the leader of our entire nation, who was talking with his advisors on how to quell the barbarian tribe they had encountered, who at that moment look very unhappy. What luck I have
Elder Guten Runner I have
not now Im busy
but Elder Guten Runner he stole
youve got a brain right? Then deal with it
but Elder Gu
I said deal with it, now how do we get ride of these barbarians, kill them? We hardly have enough swords, even if they are high trained
This is where I come in, with my all knowing mind and what not.
may I interrupt for a moment at this point my voice was rather small, since the brute that was caring had sufficiently choked me half to death. what if we you just made peace with them?
what was that? Guard let him go before he dies
The guard of course, released me immediately and upon my arrival with the ground and kicked him rather hard, though it didnt do much to him in terms of harming him.
as I was saying, why not make peace with them? We have of course, found iron supplies in the mountains above, it is worth a lot, and even more so to those barbarians, why not give them a bit as say we wont harm you at all if you join us, and here is a gift to prove it
he has a point
this was when one of his snot nosed advisors spoke up, in his rather high-pitched and severely annoying voice
but he is just a boy Elder Guten Runner, how would he know anything of such important matters
did I ask you Kre? Well? No I didnt so please shut up, continue boy
thank you Elder Guten Runner, as I was saying, make peace with the barbarians, let them see that the graciousness of the Mahabrith people and also you, mainly you lord, so you gain both the loyality of those barbarians, land, more people for you to command and, effectively, more warriors to do your bidding, see, it all works out for you and only for the small cost of a few iron bars, good deal isnt it?
indeed it is, guard remove these chains from this boy at once, and you Kre get out of here and get this boy some robes, clean, and give him your tent you boy, you are my new advisor come we shall go to this barbarians and give them your offer
you have chosen wisely Elder Guten Runner
Quite spiffy isnt it? That is how I came to power, no longer a thief but a Elder advisor! Amazing what my all knowing mind can accomplish, especially with my hands intact.
