Morzan’s Mahabrith Geschichte (2nd edition)

Dead leaves now littered the outside of Guten Runner’s tent as smoke raised out of the tent flap. It was a tradition among the Mahabrith to inhale Swapna and drinking in the Sherva potions, made from the herbs growing in the great Lumba Markoro. This was the practice among the Mahabrith people, the visions were to clear to describe sometimes. Before battle the Visharethra (swordsmen of the mountain) would drink these potions to hear Vorin, the sword wielding king of dreams and nightmares, and slayer of habits. But perhaps I get ahead of myself. First I must tell you of the leaders before Guten Runner and the clans of the Mahabrith. These were the Dread-Locke days, a time when much was in chaos

The Durim

I shall start with Durim people, who only lived in the mountains. Never once did they venture south towards the river. Their leader was Ramandi, the first woman to have ever led a Mahabrith clan. Born from Pahar, who was know as the great mountain to all the people because of his huge size, she first made her mark when she slew a bear. From then on she was known as Ramandi Maragachai, meaning Ramandi of death or dealer of death. She would then go on to becoming the general of the Durim, by building the Ganga. (warriors of Durim were also artist, it was required to balanced the destruction, with creation) The Ganga was a 15 foot sculpture, made of bronze, bits of gold (very small bits) and clay. After this feet she went on to lead the Durim’s first exploration into the peak of the mountain Lumba Markoro, though she never reached there, she had found a relatively flat piece of land where she began constructing a temple to the god of Dreams, Swapnaki. (this time with the help of her swordsmen) All this she achieved by the age of 35, and then 5 years later she became the leader of the Durim. She still lives, though she is now 103, her voice still holds sway over many people but she is simply a figure head.

The Erchel

Now begins the tale of the Erchel people, of the rivers, agriculture was their devotion and Memnoch was their leader at the time of Dread-Locke. The son of Merce, Memnoch had an unusual way of going about things. He was not strong, or fast, or warrior like in anyway, but his cunning was unrivaled. He could find a solution for almost any problem and resolved conflicts with ease. In essence he was the first diplomat the Mahabrith people had or new of. He was also the youngest chief any clan ever had, at the age of 25 he took command and is still leader to this day, at 62.

The Baraki

These were the cave dwellers, reclusive people, who much of the Mahabrith people no little about. Their leader was Mishma in the time of Dread-Locke, who came to power by simply killing the leader before him.

ooc Geschichte is history in german for thos who don't know
this nation is basicaly a mix between Indian and German languages and cultures. fun no?

Jason, when is the update? Btw, did you add my country in the update yet?

Also, will you please put GEOGRAPHICAL names on the names map (I mean, Harka Golmy and so forth)? Could be convenient...

Yeah I think I got all the names people had mentioned (unless there were any place names in das stories - reading those was hard ;) ).

There's still alot of space still to be charted...get naming things people!

It looks like there's going to be 4 great centres of action;

The Central Sea (including Doletopia and Artemia) with 8 PCs
The Wild North (including Bistonia) with 4
West of Eden (the Mani river) with 3
The Venodic-Tiar Valley with another 3

Adar and Calas'i are between these centres but still possibly involved.
Zuoguon and Olmecia in the distant south

Speaking of which; could we have some names for these continents please Jason - just to prevent confusion :)

Gassenti for the most war-torn continent! Lodoss for an island!

Or something unique... that starts with an A. All continents on Terra our home seem to start with an A, with the exception of Europe.

Yar- Arriso sea applies to the whol damn thing; the subdivisons can or cant be named (in a similer manner to hwo the med sea is as a whole called the med sea; but has smaller-subdivisions, such as the Adriatic, Ionian, Aegean, and so on. But the Arriso is the fine sum total of all the central seas :smug: (or, it will be soon enough ;))

also, i think you got Remenium and Davia mized up- I though Rem. was at the head of the river

How about naming one of those tundra places something invloving Desert. Desert means wasteland or somewhere nothing grows (or almost).

How about:
Frozen Desert
Desert of Ice
The Desert Path
Desert Cap...

or even the Zahara Desert :D

Heres some names that will come up in my Stories.

Firstly the Mouth of Adar as it is a small enclosment of water around the mouth of the Adar River.
Coen Plains: Although the early tribes of the Coen came from the north east they were positioned on the islands and southern edge of these plains during the civil war and the name bestowed upoin the plains was so.
Grassland of Lia'k: Lia'k was Adar's (The origianal nation that existed before the civil war) Patron God and people belived she resided there, some still do.

Heres a map :D

Note: Adarion has a freedom of religion rather than none at all. Although about 75% of people do not follow a religion or oppose either.

Well until then, we can keep the local names :D (anyway a big name on the map would cover all the island names and so on, making it not very useful).

or we can just call it the central sea in our local languagues i.e. Mare Medius Mundus (correct for my lack of latin grammer and knowledge) or Qender deti ot-botorert (as the Gargari call it)

Jason's update states that Davia is at the head of the river.

@Jay - Map has been updtaed :)

There are people who think that Jamaillia Eden's are a bloodthirsty kin, but nothing of that is true, the Jamaillia Eden's hold life in great esteem, nothing is larger then life. But what is a fact that they hold nature above life, for nature is life and there is no life without the nature. No one will cut down trees without nature will ask something back, no creature will be harmed for the nature will ask yourre life in exchange.

The greatly formed weapons, the longbows of the Jamailla Eden's are made from the strongest trees and from the most flexible branches with the strongest and fine wires that sing when being used when shooting. The arrows are fineley krafted with great care, the wood is beautifully decorated with art and balanced with feathers from great eagles and the arrow point is made from the finest material, people abroad even think that the material used is not from this world just like the art. All this holding in eye that the Jamailla Eden's find nature more important then even themselves they kraft the weapons only from dead trees and only use the feathers that have fallen of from the eagles.

The palace of Nar Ketricken is the largest palace known in the modern world, and also the most beautifullest, with heavenly artworks and bows and beautiful flowers and silk curtains in green colours and carpets from the finest cashmere, all in worship with nature.

But what normal people will never see and also much of the Jamailla Eden's is the shrine of Mother Nature with the "Plate Of Perception", in this plate filled with water from the deepest of earth the King and Chosen One can see the future and will feel the will of Mother Nature more, although much of her wishes will come to him in visions, sometimes Nar uses the Plate Of Perception to see what will happen.

there were any place names in das stories

No places of importance, yet...

Oh btw, sorry for the not so long stories but my english is not really fantastic so I can't write down everything I think....I could write it down in Dutch ofcourrse but not everyone would understand it.......i think 99,9% wouldn't :crazyeye:

come on you english speaking people take a Dutch course ;) :p

Sorry jason i didn't have enough time at this weekend to write any stories, but i try to make some tomorrow or atleast tuesday. My english is not either very good so it's sloooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow to write long stories. And i all the time come up with different histories to my nation which isn't making it any easier ;)

I thought I had already done the story to name the central sea, oh well:

Many eons had passed, and this planet of ours was full of life. And ruling over this life are the g-ds. Though nearly all but Manric and Farsind have been forgoten, there are one or two that remain. One of these is Lunbragha, goddes of the east. She remains with the people for the east has always been seen as the final destination of mankind, seeing that the Manrix are always moving east. So, when the Manrix reached the isles they found that what lay to the east was one great sea. They named this sea the Sea of Lunbragha and believe that in the distant future they will travel across the Sea of Lunbragha and find the land of the G-ds.

OOC: Also, the islands are collectively known as the Isles of Manric while the home island that my country is on is known as the Isle of Farsind.

@Israelite: okay I'll change the names of the isles on my map and rename the northern sea - the southern sea already has alot of names and I'll keep it first come first serve.

@Dolympus -Whats the southern part mountain range by the Dolemities called then? ;)
