Apparently it doesn't... it seems that all the powers required to create an ersatz deputy governor are written into the constitution, and I see no rule stating that they can't all be given to a single citizen... so to prevent AJ from proposing a candidate to receive those powers requires a change to a law or standard somewhere. However the anti-AG contingent seem to have forgotten that there is a constitutional way to trump him.

I've had a gutful of BB already....

OK. This is what I have decided to do.
Because we currently have a very small senate (me) and not many provincial positions open, I have decided to give Neutral Leader a chance. He has shown a keen interest in provincial politics, and I remember being new. This is in NO WAY a reflection on CivGeneral, who would make a superb Governor IMHO, but who is far more established and already holds a position in governent. Accordingly I will take these actions:

1. Propose NL as a Bohemian Turn Chat Rep
2. Propose NL as the person who will become acting governor should I announce an absence.
3. Cross my fingers and hope the provincial council will be along soon.
4. NL will be given the title Beer Drinking Doughnut Fetishist Governor (BDDF Gov), not Assistant Governor. This should be recognised in the same way as mayors and payed as a turnchat rep. If you do not know the reasons for this seemingly absurd title, please read the Judiciary Thread.

The first two of these requires a citizen poll.
