JOE-02 - Germany's Revenge

Can we incite them to attack each other?

Diplomatic would be hurd, becaus esecond is Toky, not Cesar. And Cesar does not like as.

yee, icite Toky to attack Cesar and help our Staunch Ally Toky when he asked. Well historically Hitler Occupied Italy after Allies land there.

OK...here's what we're going to do. We're going to wipe out Russia and England, then we're going to vote as to what victory condition we go for. We can have a look at how close we are to Domination after wiping out Russia and England...if it'll only take a couple of culture pops from captured cities then great...if not, then we'll vote.

I want to stick as close to the variant as possible, and I'm pretty sure Japan and Italy never attacked each other...

Toku may even vote for us......

Occupying Italy is an option also as you say, but we won't go out to destroy them, just take what we need for Domination (Warlords Vassalage addition would come in handy here I think).

We'll see...

Turn 0 1435AD:
Change Vladivostok to a theatre , it needs a expansion to gets its fish.
MM and change some other stuff.
I really wonder why we didnt go for liberalism , we got a merchant to spare so we could have just used it for money and go 100% research to liberalism to get astronomy so we would have had galleons first to go settle the new world. Its probebly to late now so i let everything be.
I see we can revolt to mercantilism , not sure what the plan was here but il wait for free market .

Turn 1 1440AD:
Berlin : musket > univ
Cologne : musket > univ
I can trade banking for optics + 280gold with Toku , i decline though i wanna make sure we get our free merchant from economics , i wouldnt want toku to get liberalism and get economics as free tech.
Whip theatre in Vladivostok.
Sell sugar to caeser for 7gpt.

Turn 2 1445AD:
Washington : musket > univ
Orenburg starts on theatre
Vladivostok : theatre > granery

Turn 3 1450AD:

Economics comes in and we get another merchant , send 1 towards roman territory to get us some gold.
Trade banking for optics + 280g and start on astronomy after.
Attack on Smolenk , its defended by 3 LB , 1 has CG1
Suicide 2 cats that hardly damage the defenders , they both die
send a mace with 58% vs the lb with cg1 , our mace dies and hardly damages the LB
Send another mace with 68% vs a LB , it dies again
Kill the 3 LB's after with knights and capture Smolenk.

Turn 9 1480AD:

Turn 10 1485AD:
Essen : catapult > knight
Engineer born in Cumae (Roman)
IBT: Kill a Russian HA

Turn 11 1490AD:
Sorry didnt notice i played 11 turns untill i read my report and noticed turn 8 twice
Berlin : univ > bank
Boston : knight > knight
Priest born in London , sending it to York
Capture the last Russian city without losses , bye bye Catherine :ar15:
Whip granery in Vladivostok

I suggest we declare on England the next turn when our war weariness from the Russians is gone , the english only have 1 city on a island so it might be very hard to capture. We should use our priest to make the holy city for confusionism. Once we capture hastings the last english city we can finally go start spreading christianity and get our state religion.
I also forgot to revolt to free market so make sure to revolt.
We can trade gunpowder for philisophy+530gold with Toku , next player may decide.

Mutineer is up!

Sorry befor hand, I think I played 14 turns.

I decided wait for declaration untill Galeon and 2 more galleys arrived.
Amphibious attackas are bloody.
Turn 0)
Traded Philosophy for gunpowder from Toky and switch to research Liberalism, but 2 turns later Toky discover it.
I finish liberalism, revolted to (free Market-Free religion)finish Astronomy.

Toky Asked to addopt Merkanilism and I argeed. Suggest revolt back to free market as soon as posible or stay in mercatenilism to appease Toky.
Upgraded Our Galeys to Galeons add some more trops and went in.

It was Bloody, but we destroy all Allies.

Galeons with remaining trops back in city.

So, how we going to win?

Friends, the Allies have been destroyed, for this I salute you, however, we need more expansion space, and Italy's land looks quite nice. The Italians would greatly benefit from the discipline of German rule.

Your goal is to occupy as much of Italy as it takes to get a Domination win.

Your Fuhrer has spoken.

:p

Whold we say Yavoll? not sure hot to spell that? :)

We need to breake there drade relantionship, or you attack our allies might cause as to loose open borders with toky.
We probably should stay in Mercatenilism to keep him on a good side.

We have two massive armies near london, can take roman when we declare.

Routing musketeers towards a central and northern rally point. figure we can hold there, and let the southern two armies sweep and mop

Sorry about the delay here chaps.

Turn 352 (1610 AD)
JOE's comment: OK...shall we attack Caesar? Let's have a look...
JOE's comment: Plenty of catapults on the way down near Setia, so things are looking good for attack from the South.
JOE's comment: On the other hand, some of our border towns lack much in the way of defence.
JOE's comment: York has only one Maceman defending for example, but this won't be a primary target for Caesar.
JOE's comment: Further North, Essen has a Longbow and Swordsman with a Musketman in 2.
JOE's comment: Washington has only a Longbowman and Axe.
JOE's comment: If Caesar counter attacks, it will be the weak, Northern cities. We need to build up defences as a few Italian Knights could cause havoc here.
JOE's comment: So, no war for a bit, I'm going to concentrate on building units.
JOE's comment: I'd like to make a two fronted attack from the South (we're ready there), and the North (not ready.
JOE's comment: Boston also only has a Longbowman...definately need to up defences first.
JOE's comment: I don't think I'll go for war during my turnset, as Chemistry is due, and we'll be able to get Rifling soon after, this will give us a big advantage with Grenadier, Cannon and Riflemen. Also, we need Cats/Cannons for the Northern attack.

JOE's comment: OK, there is now a stack at the Northern end with plenty of Muskets and Cats. Grenadiers can back them up as they are build, or defend against Caesar's counter attack.
JOE's comment: I'd wait until we have a few Grenadiers for defence before going in, but that's up to the next player.

JOE's comment: Essen: Musketman, Maceman, Longbowman and Swordsman.

JOE's comment: Moscow: Musketman (x2), Longbowman and Spearman.
JOE's comment: York: Knight (x2), Musketman and Maceman.
JOE's comment: London: Musketman, Crossbowman.
JOE's comment: Remember, London has a couple of Galleons for naval defence if necessary, and there is two near Setia protecting a passage.
JOE's comment: Also (see screenshot), Caeser may be wanting to settle here, and our cities here a poorly defended. It may be worth taking this out now if you feel we are ready for war. The Galleon has some movement left so you can take it out before hitting next turn.
